Bad experience. My son forgot his shoes in the room. I called the day after the checkout and the shoes “were not found”. The cleaning crew obviously kept them and the hotel decided to lie about it. Very dishonest staff. I would not recommend this hotel for that reason, very bad experience. Will never return to this establishment.

We didn’t realise until check in that we had stayed here 8 years ago. The hotel has had a bit of a spruce up since then. We had a sizeable corner room, with a modern walk in shower. The lifts to the rooms a very small, so don’t go with heaps of suitcases. You get one bottle of complementary water and the room has a small fridge. The lobby has iced water and juice. We had a light meal on the rooftop lounge and the service was nice. I was surprised to be credited a small amount for my first night as my husband was not arriving until the next day. I had booked for us both but the gent checking me in adjusted the tariff. Be prepared for a 3% tip to be added to your total bill for all of the staff. This is not mandatory, but if you do ask to have it removed you will curtly be asked if there were any problems with your stay. Our preference is to tip the person we deal with directly, not people we never see!

We stayed at this hotel upon returning from a cruise. The check-in & check-out was quick and efficient. The front staff was very helpful securing our transportation needs. The room was extremely comfortable, large & very clean. The hotel had a beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with a gorgeous city view. They also had a delicious breakfast buffet. We will definitely stay here again when in Rome.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Universo for 4 nights and the hotel was stellar. It's just a few blocks from the Basilica of St. Mary Maggiore. Just an FYI, Uber is quite expensive in Rome, if you need a cab just go out and flag a white cab or ask the front desk to get a car service to the airport. It's not as costly as Uber.

Hotel is conveniently located between the transportation hubs and the area attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very up to date, clean and comfortable in regards to staying there for several days. Great restaurants all around especially those mom and pop hole in the wall places that have great food.I would stay there again.
On the other side of things travelocity notes all I will be paying upon check out is the city tax of 7.50 euros per person per day (67.5 Euro) nothing about a 3% tip added on to the bill which jacked the bill up approx 30 Euros before converted into USD

Excellent modern facilities and rooms, too-notch service, and beautiful, elegant hotel maintained extremely clean and well.
Hotel staff is very courteous, polite, professional. The location is very convenient and close to many key locations, very good for walking. It is also very close to the train terminal and the Hop On-Hop-Off meeting point. The food is delicious, with a very large assortment of fresh food for the buffet breakfast. The bedroom was extremely clean with very comfortable bedding, bathroom was fully loaded with different towels, soaps, creams, even packaged environment friendly toothbrushes, toothpaste. We were treated like royalty throughout the entire visit. We highly recommend this hotel.
