Charming old school euro hotel. Service was outstanding. Staff courteous and friendly. We loved the location and hotel that we booked in an extra night. Cefalu is a great place to visit in Sicily. We stayed 6 days. Never got tired of walking to every meal and just enjoying the atmosphere. Hike to the Castle and Greek temple by just walking from the hotel. A truly great experience. Hotel location is across the street from the beach with its Poseidon Bar. Even in November sunny and warm. Just relax on the perfect sand.

Excellent resort across from the beach. We had an ocean front room which made for excellent nightcaps on the balcony. Staff is amazing. The place could use some renos as it is a little outdated. Well kept and clean. If you are looking for a quiet place this place is not for you as you hear people talking till late. We were very happy with this resort as location was the best. We would definitely recommend and we hope to come back. Thank you Hotel Riva Del Sol for an amazing few days.

Great hotel. Perfect location at the beach and 2 minute walk to all restaurants and centre of Cefalu. Fantastic service from staff, very clean, rooms serviced daily, great buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. Incredible valur for money and free parking. Would definitely return.

The hotel is close to the beaches, restaurants and shopping areas so it's very convenient. Nice view of the ocean for our hotel room.
The wall of the hotel room is quite thin so you can hear your neighbor if they talk or laugh loudly. There is no USB port in the room to charge your phone so it's a bit of a nuisance.
Parking at the hotel is small and limted. Otherwise, you have to park in the public parking spot.

Great location with convenient parking. We just stayed in Cefalu for one evening. Property could use updating. We stayed in the beginning of May and the temperature was below May's average, the A/C unit in room was poor. Barely able to cool room off.

Excellent location! On the beach and near the old part.
Parking is in the lot just by the hotel, & they give you a ticket to get out without paying.
To improve :
The pillow was too hard (and I like hard pillows).

This hotel is advertised as being a 4 star hotel. However, I would barely give it a 1 star. The hotel is very dated and looks old and tired. It’s clean and conveniently located on the beach but that’s all it has going for it. I stayed here due to a last
Minute Chang rob our palms for one night. I was in a single room and was given one key. I noticed the room was humid and stuffy and very hot. When I asked the front desk for an extra key to leave in the key holder to keep electricity on while I went for dinner and have the room cool down I was given a hard no by the front desk staff. YOU GET ONE KEY! He shouted. I additionally asked to borrow an electrical adapter and again I was told no not sure what you are talking about! Keep in mind this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I went to my room to check the AC one more time before I went for dinner and ran into a young man working at the hotel. I voiced my concern about the AC and charger and he told me the AC in this room is known to have problems and should
Have never been rented out in the heat of the summer. Hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move … He did bring me a very noisy fan to place in the room. At night when I tried to sleep on the bed I felt every metal spring in my back and body. Needless to say this was one of the most miserable stays in my travel history as I did not sleep a wink all night. The heat. The nosy fan and the rude front desk staff. Never stay here if you have other options!

This property may have been a four star in the 80s and early 90s however, it definitely does not deserve a four-star. It’s at best of three star. But it has going for it as it’s location on the beach and it’s proximity to the old town which is walkable within five minutes however, the rooms are small and tired and old. The air conditioning barely worked so we could not sleep all night. The lobby area again has not been updated since the 80s nor the rooms. The breakfast buffet had very few items, the rest being wrapped goods.
The people at the front desk were nice and service was OK. However, the property needs some love.
