The relais is a stunning property. They have maintained the charm of the vintage property but provided all of the creature comforts of a five star first class hotel with the service to match. The staff did everything to make our short stay a memorable one. We hope to return again next year.

We stayed at the relais for three nights over a long weekend of wine exploration in the region. The grounds are absolutely stunning with the landscape gardens and the park, and the views over the surrounding hills are breathtaking. The facilities are amazing: fantastic spa with outdoors relaxation areas and the salt cave, outdoor heated swimming pool, generally everything is very pretty and well kept. However the big let down is the service which is not 5 stars by any stretch, except at the Guido restaurant where the staff were great. Upon arrival reception wasn’t particularly welcoming or helpful, but the worst is the staff at the bistro / breakfast who seemed stretch, not particularly helpful and relatively dismissive. The coordination between staff is also poor as we were offered a table at the restaurant in the morning to find out at the reception that the restaurant was fully booked for days. After some complaints a table was found, however when we got there in the evening they didn’t know about our reservation which was quite embarrassing. The pool area was beautiful but you had to remove towels from loungers from previous occupiers before settling down. At this price level you’d expect someone to constantly make sure areas are cleaned when people leave. Staff should help you and be nice and welcoming whereas it felt like we were disturbing them (except the spa!). Overall, we might come back because of the beauty of the place but hoping staff quality increased!

400 year-old monastery surrounded by steep sided vineyards and breathtaking views. The hotel has a great spa and two restaurants one of which has a Michelin star. the food was very good and the wine list extensive.we very much enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of grumbles. I stayed at this hotel on November 2019 and the accommodation prices have DOUBLED since! Clearly trying to make up for the losses during lockdown. Be prepared to pay high prices for a very small room with no tub.

Property was fantastic, the suite was large, minders and clean. The food at the bistro was incredible, if given the option I'd recommend eating there as opposed to its fancier Guido option. The pool area was disappointing but the Spa made up for it (try the salt

While this is a fairly nice property, it isn't close to very much, and the service is just "OK". We had a number of specific issues that made the stay less enjoyable than it should have been: 1) We booked 2 suites - but when we got there they only had one for us. It turns out that they thought we didn't really want 2 suites, and decided to cancel one of them without sending a notice through Orbitz. They offered a room our 2nd night, but we had already unpacked and it didn't make sense to move at that point. 2) We had to wait nearly an hour for our bags to be brought to our room after we checked in. 3) My family went to the spa to use the "salt caves" - really just a room with 2 salt water pools. The staff was disorganized. We were told it would be a 5 min wait, but after more than 10 min - watching them let many other people in (even though the people arrived after our family), we reminded the staff that we were waiting and they then said it would be TWENTY more minutes... when we reminded them that they had said "5 minutes"... their response was "it is 5 Italian minutes!"?? 4) Dinner was mediocre and the wait staff inattentive but pretty view Overall, it is probably a 3 1/2 to 4 star experience. I should be giving them lower ratings since they only honored one of my 2 reservations, but I assume they don't do that to most people. Just be aware that the service at this hotel is just "OK" - there are parts that are nice, and other areas where they clearly fall short.

This is a very nice facility. Very attractive pool. Staff extremely attentive. The rooms are quite small for the price. The spa seems a big part of the experience. I came for the restaurant, Guido, which is slipping a bit.

Lovley hotel with amazing views and great local wine, I would really recommend their sparkling white wine. Hotel offers you plenty activities such as truffle hunting, vespa or bike rides. I tried a massage and was just ok, but still wellness area is great including saltwater pools.

Incredible modern comforts set with medieval charm. The accomodations proved spacious, comfortable and well thought out. The staff could not have been more accomodating helping plan and arrange numerous excursions. Dreamlike spa with a lovely use of local grapes and herbs in the treatments. Loved the bar (Igor, the barman is a wealth of local vineyard knowledge). Highly recommend.

I loved the property and the staff. The only thing negative is the grape pressing activity. There was very little activity surrounding it and the price is not worth it.

Beautiful, stunning be i.e. And great food but: - Understaffed - there was a single person trying to handle our bill, serve our breakfast and take our luggage to the car when we left early in the morning. - Undertrained. Ina cold night a request for a blanket was accepted and then forgotten. A request to buy items from their truffle bistro was not met by the first staff member saying "we are out of this item". A different staff member fetched it twenty minutes later because she actually looked.
