Hotel Resol Hakodate

Driving into the hotel can be a bit tricky due the lane directions but otherwise you can go to the front of the hotel along the tram side of the road. The parking is found on the other side, note that there is a height restriction for the car park tower.

The Hotel Resol is very close to the Hakodate train station, several restaurants, and convenience stores, and one of the many street car stops this city is known for. From my room, I could see the famous Tomoe bridge and Train Ferry Memorial Museum but I'm sure rooms higher up than mine had an even more beautiful view. To the south of the property is the gorgeous Mt. Hakodate, and if you're the kind of person who can easily walk 2 kilometers or so, the ropeway that takes travelers to the top of that mountain is more or less at the end of the street, and well worth the walk. The room was spacious for what I paid, and very clean. The staff were also very friendly, letting me check in a little bit earlier than the posted check in time. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I have the opportunity to visit the area.

Close to JR Hakodate station and tram at front door too. Comfortable bed, good laundry and guest area. However walls are thin so I could hear my next door neighbours and the hotel music playing in the hallway can also be heard in the room. Otherwise good value hotel in Hakodate.

Very close to train station and convenience store. Walking distance to many tourist attractions. Nice spacious room.

The first floor lounge featured many free drinks (soft drinks, coffee, etc) and was a nice place to sit and do research for our travels. The hotel is easy walking distance to the seaside markets/restaurants.

Good location and good amenities

The hotel was excellent. They provided everything we needed. We played Ping Pong and Pool table during stay. Location was great. Just 3-5 mins from JR station. The staff were helpful and very polite. We had great time in this hotel.

Air conditioning is turned off in fall and winter so you need to open the window for air. I got a room facing the street with tram running every few minutes and motorcycle reviving all night til around 1 am.

Very close to station. Well maintained. Good size room, bathroom a bit small & congested. Since its close to winter, no AC-a bit warm. Had to keep the windows open & loud street noise. Staff well prepared. Great coffee & tea area. 2nd floor sports & gym area was never open. Laundry facililty was very good. Great experience. Easy walking distance to all the food by Morning market and ramen/izakaya restaurants away from the station. Great location!!

pleasant hotel.

Decent hotel that is very close to the Hakodate station. The neighborhood is kinda down and out but we were only there for one night. Otherwise the hotel was clean, reasonably larger than most Japanese hotels, and convenient to the station and area restaurants. Recommended, but we wish stayed a little longer to explore this city.

We enjoyed our stay.

When checking in I had bad experience with front staff. Also we had no toilet paper, so I went to front and ask for it. They said we will bring it to you. When I came back to the room, almost same time they brought it. Why they did not give me when I went there. Breakfast was so good, but stuff were bad. We enjoy the hotel, but not so happy with stuff.

Great location-close to train station, 3 minute walk to the morning market, 20 minute walk from Mt Hakodate ropeway. Breakfast was also great, with freshly grilled seafood at the tenth floor restaurant with nice views.

The rooms are normally small as most Japanese hotels. Not far from JR Hakodate station,within walking range to most spots and shopping. The BF was very great,we enjoyed Japanese style Seafood breakfast so much.

Very convenient because near train station.

We didn't like it, because it is not the hotel where we made our reservation at, and Expedia did not point out that Hotel Unizo Express Hakodate, where I did make the reservation was not open during this period. We arrived at a boarded up hotel, whose employee did contact you. I tried to follow up with a direct phone call to you, but the decision tree of your automated call processing system thwarted my attempt. We ended up hustling to reserve a room for the night at the Eli-mae Toyoka Inn. Taking its price into consideration, that hotel would merit a 5 star rating. However, if you allow your computer system to attribute my one-star rating to the Hotel Resol Hakodate, Expedia will continue its chain of abysmal failures that caused us such stress and shock the day we arrived in Hakodate.
