Really nice stay at the Hyatt Regency for 5 nights.
Staff were lovely - spacious room. Nice little touches like the Geisha dancer performance. Museum, temple and beautiful gardens/shrines on your doorstep. Short walk to Shichigo station to get up into Gion.

Great location. Staff very efficient and nice. Some of the restaurants were closed due to various functions. Rooms are “tired”. Carpets were stained. It needs refurbishing.

The concierge service was second to none. My daughter got ill and needed medical attention. The concierge helped us navigate finding an open clinic on a Sunday. We also lost a pair of sunglasses which they promptly found for us. I highly recommend this hotel!

The in room amenities were lacking. For example, there was no shoe mitt, mouthwash, hair brush, comb, or toothpaste. And, it took me a full 24 hours to find a tissue box. The bar in the basement was terrific.

This is the second time I stay at this property and both times it has been great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, very professional and very attentive to all the needs of their guests. Great options to eat are near by, and in in particular is a very small but amazing hamburger place called "KYIO HO MIYAKO BURGER" - chef/owner operated and best quality meat you will find in Kyoto.

Food options at the hotel are great, and it’s only a 10 to15 minute walk to many sightseeing places in Kyoto.

Return visit to this property. Great location, fair price, attention to detail. Only minor issue was paying for breakfast as part of my package only to be told on the day we left and paid for I would have to pay for breakfast. I felt I was shorted a breakfast.

It is a convenient location to many historical interests. Hotel is clean though small subject to the legal restrictions in Kyoto I believe. Hope will have more restaurants in the hotel and more selections for the breakfast.
