As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

A mandatory RM10 Tourism Tax (TTx) will be imposed on all hotel room rates on a per room per night basis to all non-Malaysian guests. This is imposed by Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMDC) effective from September 2017. This amount is to be collected by the Hotel, on behalf of the RMDC upon check-out. All Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents are exempted from paying this tax with valid proof or ID presented at front desk upon check-in. (Tourism tax will be exempted from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.)
