Hotel Plaza Cozumel

Parking is a problem. There are 4 very small spaces

I have stayed here multiple times. Great central location. Excellent breakfast. Staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The property, rooms, dining area, and pool area are very clean and well-maintained. It is not a fancy place and the ocean view is obstructed by buildings and rooftops, but it works out great for exploring the downtown, shopping, and experiencing local dining options. We taxi to the marina for dive trips. The hotel is near restaurants and clubs, so there is often late night noise of live music and people’s voices. The biggest problem we had this time was an annoying security alarm from a retail store on the main drag that was going off all night. Very annoying and frustrating. Not much the property could do about, but I will bring earplugs next time.

This hotel is in the middle of the city, so getting to the Marina for scuba diving took a while. There was limited parking spots. The facilities are aging but the staff keep them clean and are friendly

There was an alarm in a very close store that would go off ALL night. It was extremely difficult to get any rest. Staff was always friendly as usual!

Great location!

Easy access to walk along the waterfront. Steps away from the Ferry from Playa Del Carmen. The most amazing breakfast with lots of food choices. The coffee was delicious. Staff are very friendly. A quaint modest hotel accommodating your basic needs. Low key. Would definitely stay again.

Love this place. Every year we stay multiple times. Never staying anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and gracious.

This hotel has been a favorite of mine but beware the 3:00 pm check in time is not reliable.

Great location for viewing Carnival. Within walking distance for shopping and dining options. Great hotel staff.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Staff were all the same as the year before. Hotel is well-maintained. Breakfast, which is included, is lovely and fresh, and served to order. Rooftop pool is fabulous to have, with a great view. And it is easy to get wherever you want to get.

The breakfast was fabulous and the rooftop pool was very nice.

It was very clean. The staff were very nice and I liked you just paid and they didn’t ask for credit card for deposit or anything. It is walkable. We got right off the ferry and walked around the corner and the hotel was right there and easy to find. The hotel was very clean also and it was super close to a lot of areas; drinks and food. They had almost a full sized fridge with freezer in the room with a filtered water dispenser which I thought was cool and convenient. The only downside is the hotel is next to a club so if you’re not used to sleeping through noise it may not be for you. Also, there’s no microwave in the room; it’s in the lobby if you need to reheat something. Also, the shower is like level with the floor so the floor got very wet but it wasn’t the end of the world. Lastly, the elevator is very tiny and it’s not a super high tech hotel. Was very basic but had everything we needed and simplicity can go a long way. Overall it was a very easy hotel to get to, very clean, and had free breakfast. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

The service was top notch.

We love that we are right downtown in the center of all that is going on. Very walkable!

Close to everything

Hotel Plaza Cozumel is like a home away from home! Great rooftop pool with lots of recliners, free breakfast that has a great selection of fruit, bread/buns, and omelets, French toast or Hot cakes. Beds are comfortable and the staff are amazing, Hiberto, Estrela, Mariano are very helpful. Try getting a room not facing the Main Street as they is a bar across the street from the hotel that is open until 5AM fairy frequently.

We stay here every year and love it everytime.
