Holiday Inn Express AMSTERDAM - SLOTERDIJK STATION, an IHG Hotel

Property was fine, room temperature control not working (constantly 21C), noisy outside window from late night revellers and nightclub (LoFi?) across the way into 6 am. Couldn't close window as it was too hot.

Overall it was good specially the staff in the catering was very friendly, specially Karolina, she is amazing her contagious smile and the warm morning welcome made the breakfast great and pleasant. Well done Karolina!!

The hotel is in a brilliant location just one stop to Amsterdam Central Easy for the airport and bus terminal there too. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable, spacious enough and clean. Good continental breakfast Free drinks rather than towel change good idea. One small disappointment having to pay to leave luggage due to flight times, after check-out- €3 euros per person not terrible jyst unexpected I'd highly recommend the hotel brilliant value so thank you!!

Straightforward hotel. Clean/updated bathrooms, fresh paint is desperately needed in the rooms. One stop from airport and one stop from Amsterdam Central. Nothing too interesting in walking distance. Bikes were not in great shape but able to rent directly from hotel.

It was fab we opted to not have our room serviced every day and were given a token for e free drinks at the bsr, which was great. We did opt not to have our room serviced 1 day out of the 3 and that was disappointing beds were made and new towels but no new milk or tea bags which meamt we werent able to have a drink for the last day and dirty cups and glasses left in the room and not replaced. Hiwever staff incredibly friendly and breakfast fab.

Quite a few things were wrong in our room. 1. Aircon didnt work 2. Only a few tv channels worked. 3. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up. 4. Car got damaged in car park.

The front door was broken for over a month the staff told me. The amount of drug users and smokers lingering was crazy. I had a man threaten me in day light and asked the staff about weird people and they said they are aware. My curtains smelled like cigarettes, they obviously were not clean and old. The toilet sloped down and was uncomfortable to poop. You cannot sit on it comfortably. The shower has some stains that should be cleaned from mold or old soap overtime. Staff were pretty nice ladies and one in particular was very helpful with suggestions or help. I liked the staff they were nice. The room was not bad and I slept well. The internet was not that fast and I thought there was ethernet connection but did not work

Conveniently located at train station five minutes from Amsterdam central by train. Free breakfast which was a bonus and good value.

The hotel doesn’t provide wash clothes, conditioners or lotion, be sure to take yours with you. The staff is very friendly. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Sloterdjik station and it was the best decision ever! I would stay here again.

All was ok apart from manager who is very unprofessional and very rude abrubt made us feel so uncomfortable. As we had issue with water and cleaning try to tell him his attitude was so horrible. His name Yasar who let the whole hotel down.

Disappointing Experience at Holiday Inn Amsterdam I had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Upon arrival at 8:00 PM, I discovered that the doors at the entrance where my Uber driver dropped me off were locked. After wandering around the corner to find an alternative entrance, I was faced with two flights of stairs to climb while lugging heavy ski trip bags. Once inside, I had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, which added to the inconvenience. The room itself was not up to standard either. The base of the shower door was filthy, covered in a black, gummy residue that became evident when wiped with a tissue. It was shocking to see such poor cleanliness in a well-known hotel chain. I reported the issue to the staff, who promised to send someone to address it, but it left a negative impression on the overall stay. Also the has no drawers to unpack your bags or no closet. It’s pretty bare. Overall, the combination of accessibility challenges, cleanliness, and no where for your clothes issues made this a disappointing experience. I would hesitate to book here again unless significant improvements are made.

Everything was up to the standards that I expect from a Holiday Inn Express, except for one thing. The room was freezing cold, I slept under two quilts. I tried to turn the aircon temperature up - no difference. I tried to switch it off - nothing. I switched the electricity off - the aircon was still on. Where does it say that guests like to be cold in bed in the winter? Thus I slept badly, as my feet and hands were cold.

Staff were extremely friendly. Zafran went way above and beyond to describe the sights to see and areas to visit. Julia and Karoline made every single guest at breakfast feel special.

Staff were really nice and helpful. Room was a little untidy and the tv wasn’t working. Great location next to public transport (5 min train to centraal)
