Always stay in Ruby when visiting Amsterdam. Good ambiance, good location, just perfect. Near McD, metro station, Amstel River, and mini market. Will be back when visiting Amsterdam again. The restaurant along Amstel River is nice to try, too.

I really love this hotel! It’s very eco-friendly, comfortable, and smells great. The design is so stylish, and I truly enjoy everything about it. The only thing that really bothered me was the occasional light knocking sound on the walls throughout the day. It especially affected my sleep at night. Also, the pillows were too soft for my preference. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay here again, but I hope the knocking sound won’t happen next time. Thank you!

Overall the hotel has a really cool design, the room is spacious, the amenities especially the shower gel and shampoo smelled maginificiant. However throughout the 3 nights I stayed there, there were constantly ‘knocking sounds’ on the wooden wall behind the bed which made falling asleep difficult. Told the reception about the situation and was told this happened very often and they had no idea on the solution. The other thing was that I sent an email to the hotel, the response was so slow that I didn’t receive a reply until the day I checked in which was pretty disappointing.

The air conditioning doesn't work.. why you can set the temperature in your room on a tablet, but yet the temperature never changes. Wasn't hot on our trip, but not was the hotel unbearably hot..bother than that beautiful hotel

The room itself was lovely. Very clean and stylish. The problem was check-in. It took ages as you have to do it yourself and there are a lot of questions to answer. Reception was a person with a laptop perched on a stool. They didn't have the local knowledge that you would expect from somebody with that job. Overall, a nice room but the hotel misses the human touch,

This is a self check in/out- very limited interaction with any type of customer service If you are into the “hipster” vibes this is the hotel for you. Also bring your own face cloth cause they only provide towels

My stay at the Ruby Hotel in Amsterdam was excellent! The location couldn’t have been more perfect right by the train and in a safe, cute neighborhood that made it easy to get around. The hotel itself was stylish, comfortable, and had a great vibe. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
