A fabulous hotel, our room overlooked the beach, the sunset was stunning! All the staff were really helpful. Ideally placed near all Hokitika had to offer. Would definately recommend.

We had room 112, outside the window were what I think are Air Con motors, the noise was unbearable, this meant a totally sleepless night for myself and my wife.These rooms should be booked out last, especially when the hotel wasnt full.We booked weeks ago and should have been advised of the noise.

The hotel itself is great. Room cleanliness misses on key points. Shower fan vent extremely dirty, caked with dust. Hairdryer filter/screen extremely caked with dust; hairdryer running much too hot with little air coming out. Room heater vents caked with dust. As you walk down the hallway you can see these heaters in each room and they are all dirty/dusty.
All rooms are on the second floor, but there is no elevator.
The hotel claims to offer parking, but it is shared with a busy store, so you may have to park on the street.

Next time, we're going to spend a week rather than 3 nights! The penthouse was outstanding. Full wall view of Tasman Sea from the bedroom and fill view of town and river from living room. COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!!!
