Location, location! And so affordable, especially for solo travellers. The rooms are tiny and the facilities basic, but if you’re only looking for somewhere to sleep at an affordable price, then I absolutely recommend it.

Room way too small. No seating available. No luggage racks.

If you’re spending a short time in Christchurch, I’d give them a go, but any longer may prove tricky. Rooms are small and the lighting console prolly needs updating. But the basic gym is much welcome!

A very unfriendly receptionist when I was trying to arrange a car park space. Also once I eventually managed to get a space I was not informed there as an associated cost.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was very a convenient location for downtown Christchurch.

The double room we booked was tiny. I was not made aware of this when I booked. There was literally around 2 square feet of floor space. There was no window or natural light. You could only access the bed from one side. There was no storage space. It was claustrophobic. If this was a hotel in Hong Kong I would understand the limited space but this was in New Zealand. Accor Hotels should be embarrassed to have this as part of their chain. Despite this the staff were lovely - helpful, friendly and professional.

Great hot l European style. The lamb shank was excellent at restaurant. Close to everything including city buses, shopping. My wife and I really enjoyed stay.

The thermostat did not work in our room and they chased us out of the seating area after 9pm, even though the restaurant was closed?!

Let me start by saying what's great about this property, the location and the staff. Unfortunately, the hotel's AC/ACMV system has a mind of its own that ruined the experience profoundly. The first night, it near explodes at 4:30am and despite the hotel (apparently) servicing it the same day, the second night's result was replacing the loud noise with a low drone that even earplugs couldn't block out. Turning it off wasn't an option as the windows don't open and even cutting off the power to the room by removing the key card doesn't deactivate/reset the ACMV which is on 24/7. Losing 2 nights sleep after a hideously long flight truly ruined my stay in CHC. Thus unfortunately, the poor rating overall.

Helpful and friendly reception people. Comfy bed. Great breakfast. Close to everything.

I had a private room with a private bathroom. It was quiet and comfortable. Some construction in the area while I was there. Close to the Botanic Gardens, shuttles and busses, the stadium once it is complete, many restaurants and more. Some minor leaking from the shower onto the carpet kept this from being 5/5 for cleanliness. Once construction in the area is completed, the area will be very nice as well.

A great room for a short term stay. Loved that it was in the city and close to a lot of restaurants and cafes. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great place for a weekend visit to Christchurch. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was kind of cool and functional

Be cautious when booking because there is a No Window option. I commented it was like a prison but truthfully, it's more like an interior cabin on a cruise ship. Teeny. My last morning, my tour pick up was at 0630. I requested a cup of coffee and was told "not until 7." So. Paid for a breakfast and didn't even get a coffee let alone any food. You would think if they are prepping a buffet every morning, at least the coffee would be done early!
