BreakFree on Cashel Christchurch

The hotel is conveniently located very close to bus stop, shopping lots and a restaurant. Whilst the room size is compact, it is good enough for the purpose of sleeping at night. It has a small fridge, but lacking of microwave and freezer. Hot water for shower is instantly available, no need to wait.

Sure - i opted for the smallest/cheapest room which was also window-less but my reason for staying was my partner as having an op & i was from out of town. Ticked every box & very good value for money 🙂

It was fresh & clean, the bed was comfortable, the room is small but ok for a stop over, tea & coffee & nice smelling soap & shampoo was a nice touch. The only thing was the air conditioner which was a littld noisy, we couldnt turn it off but J guess thats because theres no windows in the room. We enjoyed our stay & thank the staff fod their hospitality 🙂

No free parking and Parking is on another street

The room was all I needed. Perfect for a short stay and easy access to amenities. Location is great. Keep up the good work.

Well priced, great inner city location, excellent facilities

I was a little unsure of the room because they looked really small. They are even smaller than they look. There is barely any space for one person to turn around, let alone two. The bathroom area takes up most of the room. There isn't any place to work, but there is a stool. There is a shelf at the end of the bed where drinks can be made. The fridge was small but present, so there is that. The bed was very soft and there were tons of pillows. The water in the shower was hot and had plenty of pressure. The lights are a little hard to figure out at first. I couldn't find the fan for the bathroom, so the room got quite foggy after a shower. The Wi-Fi was decent enough to hold a meeting if you were in the lobby. It was a bit spottier in the rooms. The breakfast was about the fare you would get from a hotel breakfast buffet. It isn't really worth the price unless you get a lot of food as takeaway. The service was excellent. The staff was very helpful. Location is a bit far from the airport, but right in the middle of the city. Nearly everything is within walking distance. Despite the issues with the room, if you are by yourself and have a small amount of luggage, it was passable. I wouldn't stay more than a few days there, but it works for short 2-3 day trips.

Loved the hotel, staff and the breakfast and bar were great. Only dropping one star because my room didn't have a window so my body clock was kind of cooked and I kept waking up not knowing what time it was.

I though the hotel was excellent, everything was clean and tidy , the buffet breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful. It was also a great price. It is walkable to the centre of town and close to the bus exchange. I had a great stay.

I do always enjoy staying here however in recent years it has become a bit more run down. I still choose this hotel because of the location and price, it feels safe and is conveniently located. My room barely had a wifi connection which is difficult when you're trying to get some work done and along with this I could not get the room to heat up at all, seems that the aircon was broken as well as one of the light switches. It's clean and comfortable but definitely starting to lose their 'cool edge' they had a few years ago.

Stayed one night in an internal room which was a bit dated & could hear water in the pipes when people used their bathroom above. Hotel very central & close to lots of shops & dining options.
