I found the overall facilities and accommodation very modern, and contained all the comforts and conveniences expected at such an edtablishment. The renovations taking place on site couldn't be helped; it is what it is.

Under renovation until March 2025 but still a great place to stay. Very close to a shopping mall which is handy. Family accomodation was excellent for 2 adults and 3 small children.

Amazing stay and very helpful staff. There were some problems with the elevators and it was hard to get around the building because the stairs were closed, but I think that's just due to the age of the building and current renovations.

An enjoyable stay in Palmerston North Copthorne. However, the renovations in part of the hotel had the room smelling of paint for some of the evening. There was also no clear signage at the entry to welcome us in through the construction area.
It would have been nice to have some acknowledgement of the renovations which the staff seemed to pretend were not happening. Even with some noise and disruption there were no signs excusing the work or impact.
The room was clean & comfortable with one notable exception. The top bed sheet had someone's blood stain on it. Possibly from a previous occupant, or maybe how the sheets arrived from their laundry service. To the hotels credit, this was rectified immediately when we found it (at 11pm).
Despite these two issues we enjoyed our time and the wonderful view.

We did not know that the property was in the middle of extensive renovations but the workers were as quiet as possible. The shower was very dangerous without grabrails. The meal in the restaurant was disappointing as the fish was over cooked, tough and dry.

Being renovated so partly has scaffolding & building work going on. My room was great. Other guests on my floor rudely allowed their children to run up & down the corridor late at night but hotel was great.

The whole place was mess as a building site and very noisy. There was a loud noise in the room & I am a good sleeper but would not have been able to sleep with that so I got the manager who rang the kitchen and asked them to put off their expelair. That was the noise so I was told it would go until 9pm each night but went until 9.30pm then started up at 5-45 am for breakfast besides the banging next door of the builders during the day it was not a plesant place to sit. I paid good money for that room and should have been given a discount. The website should have stated it was a building site and I would not have gone there. They should never had that room occupied and I paid for 3 nights in advance. Very very dissappointing stay. The consumers act says a service must be fit for the purpose. This was definitely not

The gentleman who checked us in last Saturday, 21/09 around 5pm was very accommodating. He epitomises “customer service” — highly commendable. Copthorne will be our 1st choice of accommodation on our next visit because of him — hopefully after all the construction are done.
