We had a great short stay at Ibis Budget Auckland Airport. We arrived at night from a domestic flight and had an early international flight the next morning. Check-in was smooth, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a family room for my parents. Our daughters really enjoyed the playground area, which was a nice bonus. The location is very convenient, with easy access to and from the airport using the Yellow Bus. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Perfect for a transit stop!

I met a very kind receptionist when I checked in. I asked her if I could make a late check out at eleven o'clock for my flight at 3pm tomorrow? Surprising me that her initiative made the check out time at 12pm for me for my convenience.
A warm heart and helpfulness.
Ibis offered simple free breakfast at 4am-7am to convenience the early flight guests, thumbs up!

A ticket of NZ 6 is needed for one way bus to the airport, while the walking is 15 minutes. The walking is easy but with the luggage it can be tedious. An airport hotel should at least provide regular free airport shuttle

Does what it needs to. Conveniently located near the airport for those late arrivals or early departures. Staff were prompt, but would say they were very welcome. Room was okay, a little bit run down but clean and comfortable. As I said, it does what it needs to do.
