A nice hotel with a very good location!
Beds were comfy, good black out curtains, all was quiet.
We didn't try the restaurant, so we have no opinion on the restaurant services except the bar.
The Whisky sour we were served was nothing to write home about.

Great for a night away.
We have stayed in a couple of hotels in Paihia, but always come back to the Kingsgate Hotel.
The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king bed room which has a small seating area with a table and a couch.
Bathroom was clean and tidy.
Would recommend to couples or family’s.

Though there were needs of improvement in cleaniness, the hotel staff are very helpful. After finding out the towels and the pillow cases were dirty, they instant provide new ones and did follow up work to tidy up the one in next day. Besides, the location and facilities of the hotel are good. Most importantly, the room rate is very reasonable.

They were doing renovations but never advised us on checkin. They also gave us a drinks voucher but were unable to use it because the bar was closed. The evening lady offered to give us a drink that we could take back to our room, but the options were very limited, so was a wasted perk. But the location of the property was good for us.

This hotel is excellent. We usually have a mini suite which is spacious and has great amenities.
The cleanliness of the room is usually excellent but a little disappointed this time with the vacuuming. There were hairs and lolly papers in the lounge area that had been missed from the previous occupants.

This is a lovely hotel right in the beach front. Unfortunately there were really bad storms prior to or arrival and the waves had come over the sea wall into the pool and flooded the basement. This resulted in the pool being closed for our three night stay. This out of anyone’s control but was a little disappointing as I booked the hotel for the pool area to chill out at.The room was very well presented with two twin beds. There is a restaurant on site and a gym. Also very short 3 min walk to restaurants and shops and all the day trips at the pier.

Good quiet stay at the Kingsgate over Easter 2025. We missed the rains, but we could see the effects of it around the place. I still enjoyed my stay and friendly staff there.
