We enjoyed our stay at the Kingsgate Hotel for several reasons. The comfort of the living room space was an added bonus to the bed & shower. We ate one take home meal and it felt like home. Our suites sliding glass doors were wide open with crisp fresh air & no noise! The staff were super helpful & we were grateful for their assistance. The breakfast was more than we could have asked for or wanted to start our day.

The room had some sort of bug infestation in the carpet, we received bug bites on our feet and ankles. The girl at the front desk did offer to spray it with fly spray but as the smell would have been through the room we declined. We were offered another room but as my elderly mother in-law was already settled for the night we declined. we came home with many bug bites on our feet and ankles.

Property is well situated but needs refurbishment. Stained carpet; the sound of your neighbour peeing above you head and then the flushing toilet reverberating about the rooms above and below.
On the other side staff are the best asset to the facility. Go above and beyond.

The good location, breakfast, and comfortable bed were nice. However, the night receptionist was not friendly at all, and even guests had to reserve and pay for parking. Since the building is old and outdated, I don't think I would come back.

An Excellent location
The bed was Very comfortable
The reception staff were attentive.
I was disappointed room service and evening dinning in house were not an option.
I was also disappointed the shower curtain was in need of replacing and the bath wash dispenser was empty
I loved the balcony and large windows but would suggest a mark or line on the non door to prevent accidentally walking into it thinking it was an opened door.

Worst place I have ever staffed staff were so rude place is dated good disgusting over priced and facilities are dirty and dated
No soap in bathroom linen dirty and staff can barely speak English found the manager extremely unhelpful
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone would rather stay at a backpackers than this place .
