When you arrive at 1am with a 2-year-old and are told the hotel "overbooked" (aka took airline bookings to bump average joes) it's certainly not an ideal way to start your New Zealand holiday.

We booked a room to use for 8 hours or so before a flight to Singapore. Location is perfect. Just a few steps from Car Hire drop off and the terminal. Fast check in. Very comfortable rooms, with decent shower etc. Hotel also has a very good restaurant on the 6 floor with really impressive views of the airport.
