Peppers Bluewater Resort Lake Tekapo

Property was well positioned to walk everywhere into town. Close to the lake and staff very friendly

Room was nice, roomy, just the bed was horrible, kept falling in the gap over the beds being joined together and quality of bedding was of a low rated hotel. Dining at the property was also very unimpressive, wouldn’t recommend eating dinner there.

We were surprised to find the room size very small, no room to open suitcases or chairs to sit on. Wouldn’t like to stay longer than one night!

Very good resort hotel

The chrck in process was a bit messy and took a long time. May be the staff was new and there were a lot of people checkjng at the same time. We checked in at 2.15pm but was asked to come back in half an hour. We walked to locate our room before hand and the staff told me that she was just about to make up the king bed so we can check in. However I told her that we wanted 2 beds any well not a king. Just as well I caught her in time otherwise the beds had to be separated again. It was requested at the time of booking and I paid for a twin , not a king. The room is 2 levels with a full kitchen which is a real bonus.The view was good that we can see part of the sea in the balcony. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We traveled to Queenstown at least twice a year and will always stay here as it is perfect for half way from North Canterbury.

Peppers should be embarrassed with this property, it's what I would expect from budget ibis the room was so small. No room for bags and only just room to walk around the bed. Having stayed at peppers resorts before the expectation was high but the reality awful. Food was good is about all I can say apart from stay somewhere else in lake Tekapo or go for the absolute top rooms.

Our initial impression was not great because we were checked in to a dirty room that hadn’t been cleaned. However, the duty Manager offered us complimentary drinks and an entry to the Tekapo Springs to make up for the error which was very much appreciated.

The property it self is well located to the township, which is within a walkable distance. However the room was a cupboard, once you put your bags down you couldn't get round the bed; no other furniture in the room, not good for the price you paid, no views of the lake and parking wasn't enough for the rooms allocated in that area. Room Service facilities is also poor, they would only deliver food not drinks (water). Upside was the breakfast buffet is good.

Excellent service, especially from Sunita (I hope I recalled her name correctly—the Indian lady at the front desk). She organized transport to get us to our bus stop in heavy snowfall. Big thanks also to the lady (of Zimbabwean origin) who gave us a ride.

Very small room, very clean and the Staff very friendly and helpful. It was great that it was an easy walk to the town centre.

The room too small. No place for luggage, no place to sit

The rooms are very tight, check in was not ready when we arrived. Check in time is 3 pm and we didn't have our room till 4:30pm. Ordered some dessert at their restaurant on site they took over half an hour to give us the take out because they forgot. It is a little disorganized for the amount they charge.

Reception super friendly and offered local restaurant choices which were amazing as the hotel restaurant was booked out with a tour group the night we stayed.
