The Village Inn Hotel

Very clean and comfortable and convenient to all amenities.

Our room was dirty cobwebs no mattress protector and sheets were to small for the bed,smelt i could go on. Staff were non existent only 3 poor reception tv chanels. Dirty dishes outside our room at checkin. Overall i would not recommend.

Unique and Inviting

Comfy warm room and beds, clean room and very quiet.

No plates or knife, so not sure about why they bothered to supply a toaster. Shower slide was broken and shower leaked across the floor

Close to shopping area.

Property is run down and room seems old. Parking is OK with some huge buses parked at the property. Bathroom has been reformed so it did have decent bathroom. Kitchen utensils were really beat up and I did not want to use it. Bed, kitchen and Carpet all look and feel out dated.

After reading some poor reviews we had some trepidation, however, we could not have been happier with our room, it far exceeded our typical standards for accommodations in this price point. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The motel is in a great location just minutes walk from downtown Te Anau and the lake. The staff were welcoming and check in/out was easy. The wi-fi was excellent with individual dedicated routers in each room. Highly recommend this stay, it was excellent value, we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Good for the money

Filthy hotel with urine stains and hair in bed. Carpet covered with stains and room reeked of mold. After showing clerk photos of urine on sheets he offered to cancel reservation. I left property and called Expedia to confirm refund - when Expedia called property owner refused to honor cancellation and Expedia would not acting despite seeing my photos of the urine and hair in the bed. Shame on clerk for lying and shame on Expedia for not backing me and still showing this property on their site. The rooms are not sanitary and this property should be shut down by health inspectors. Under no circumstances should you stay here.

Clean - minimal amenities. Coffee impractical to attempt to make. No hand towels. Lighting on the outside walkway SO BRIGHT all night in our room - tried to block w the closet door. They need a black out curtain for the window on the door!

The place is clean enough for a 1 night stay but the room smelt stale and the drains smelled in the bathroom...very tired place

A little disappointed - for the price, the room looked a little rundown and need of attention - shower door did not close, insufficient towels, curtains falling off rails, limited channels on tv, bed sheets not right size, cleaning staff walking into room without knocking first.

Had a pleasant 2 night stay here. Room is a bit dated, but pretty big. I wished the glass slider door had a screen slider. We had the door open to get some air and a cat came in the room! A screen would allow air to circulate, but keep out critters. Great location!

Ótimo atendimento

Although there was a kettle and toaster there was extremely limited space to even prepare tea or coffee. We had to ask reception for some plates and cutlery.

Stayed for one night new yrs eve, check in was the fastest I've ever been thru very impressed, room nice and big comfy beds very clean no problems at all highly recommend to all

Die Anlage besteht aus einer Vielzahl von ebenerdigen, in mehreren Reihen aneinander gebauten Zimmern, mit guten Parkmöglichkeiten. Die Zimmer sind recht geräumig, mit kleinem Teeküchenbereich, separater Toilette und Bad. Alles ist sauber und ordentlich, das Mobiliar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Mitarbeitenden sind alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit, Check-in uns -out verliefen professionell und freundlich. Es gibt (gegen Gebühr) Waschmaschine und Trockner, im chinesischem Restaurant Frühstück und Abendessen. Das Motel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom inneren Zentrum entfernt, so dass andere Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten schnell erreichbar sind. Der Sammelpunkt für die Milford-Tour befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe.

Was wir leider nicht wussten: das Hotel ist vorzugsweise für asiatische Gäste ausgerichtet. Entsprechend war das Frühstück für uns eher eine Zumutung (Auswahl am Buffet eher gering, Verhalten und Lautstärke der Gäste unangenehm). Haben lieber woanders gefrühstückt.
