Fantastic town Hotel nice but putting us on 4th floor with dog and no view when hardly anyone else in the hotel seemed odd. Huge room and staff all very friendly. Magical spot for one night before xmas.

Good room, great view. Nice breakfast, polite staff. Right next to many restaurants. Also has a nice roof top restaurant.

The hotel is ubdwrgoing rennovation (it will be completely closed from January for the instsllation of new lifts) but in the room we couldn't hear any noise at all. Parts of the floor near the building works had protective covering but the fully open areas wete lovely. Staff were friendly and friendly (especially to restaurant manager), the breakfast buffet was wonderful, and the room was big enough to have a separate 'lounge area' with a sofa and table. Highly recommended.

Going into the reception we were hit by an overwhelming sewage smell. This was the case for both the first and second floor. The hotel was also a construction site and undergoing a total renovation. Neither of these issues was addressed or informed of beforehand. The room itself wasn't to bad, but the bathroom was old and worn down. The breakfast was ok, but having to pass through the sewage stank to get there wasn't very inviting. If it hadn't been for the room and breakfast I would have rated this as terrible, but this saved it by a hair. Thought to address this when checking out, but wasn't even asked how our stay had been and just wanted to get out of the stink by then. Unbelievable this wasn't informed or addressed when booking or ahead of time. Would for sure have booked something else had we known. Not offering a discount or other form of reimbursement is just sad and bad customer service. It will probably be nice when everything is done some time in the future, but that will be without me as I have no plans to come back. Do NOT recommend, STAY AWAY!

Hotel Klubben is going through a major renovation. I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was fantastic. Very nice room. Any hotel in renovation has issues and I'm not going to lower them because they are open during their renovation. Hotel Klubben is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the waterfront scene, Osberg replica ships, and bars. I had a great time bar hopping after 2200 hanging out with locals & tourists. I recommend the Hotel Klubben and will come back. Give them a break while they complete their renovation. It will be amazing when it's completed.

Dusjhodet og dusjslangen var teipet sammen med gaffateip og lakk som bare det. Sluket var nesten tett, så badekaret ble fullt når man tok en dusj, dusjdørene var også løse og fungerte ikke slik de skulle. Taket ved gardinene var fullt av brune merker, framsto veldig skittent.

Generelt fint hotell, god frokost, rent, hyggelig betjening. Vi hadde superior-rom, og fin størrelse. TV’en fungerte ikke, badet var helt ok. Ikke verdt prisen. Gode senger, men det er ikke 180cm-seng som vi fikk informasjon om. Mulighet for parkering (men var veldig liten for en stor bil, og vi endte opp å måtte kjøre et annet sted. Vær obs på bommen, da den går veldig fort ned og var nære på å treffe bilen vår). Vår opplevelse ble ikke komfortabelt som vi ønsket. Vi er en småbarnsfamilie, reiser mye og er nøye med planlegging for å få det enkelt på tur. Vi booket dette hotellet pga. de tilbyr barneseng. Vi fikk dette bekreftet på melding mot et tillegg på 250kr, som vi aksepterte før oppholdet. Ved innsjekkingen, spurte vi igjen om barneseng var i orden. Fikk bekreftet ja, og at det var klart i rommet (og det var det ikke - vi fikk ekstra gjesteseng), så måtte si ifra igjen. Fikk igjen beskjed at dette skulle de ordne. Vi tok oss en tur ut, og da vi kom tilbake fikk vi beskjed at de kun har ÉN barneseng fordelt på hele hotellet, og denne var opptatt, så vi fikk den ikke. Hadde vi visst dette hadde vi absolutt planlagt annerledes (tatt med egen), eller vurdert et annet hotell. Mistet tilliten til dette hotellet, da vi ikke fikk det vi bestilte. Ekstra sengen er for stor for 1 åring, og ikke trygt for barnet å sove uten en voksen person. Fikk heller ikke noe kompensasjon for dette fordi vi betalte på forhånd. Hotellet passer bra for par-, venner-, jobbopphold.

Top quality hotel with professional friendly staff. I even got a free Tom Jones concert from my room as it overlooked the stage !

This hotel is quite an historical institution with so much history in the walls. If you want to learn about the great show artists and musicians in Norway, you should go for a walk in the corridors and breathe in the atmosphere and stories painted on the walls. The view from the room was amazing, I love waking up next to the sea from the the sound of seagulls. Bed was super comfortable and I was blessed with a bathtub. Breakfast was a rather traditional Norwegian one, which was quite refreshing. Annoyingly there were signs of "homemade" and "freshly squeezed", when it was obviously not. The person who met me at the reception at my arrival, was truly perfect for the job and I felt very much welcome. All in all it was a great stay and I look forward to come back!
