Quality Hotel Waterfront Alesund

Location was a nice location for my travel needs. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

This location had great parking althougt no part of the hotel which must be paid separate, outside of that this hotel was wonderful, the staff, the breakfast, the view in the morning was amazing.

A lovely hotel with lovely staff - particularly in the restaurant and bar. We had a great waterfront room which had a fabulous view. Breakfast was fantastic. Only negative is that the parking for hotel guests is so expensive, so would recommend to try and find somewhere else to park

Beautiful hotel. Fabulous breakfast and very friendly staff.

Clean & comfortable. Access to floors 3 & 4 odd, have to take 2 elevators. Public parking in front is based on 24 hour periods, can get stuck paying more than necessary or get a ticket if you miss adding time by just 5 minutes. Weekend breakfast didn't start until 7:30, a challenge if you need to get going early.

Nice hotel. New rooms. Good staff.

I liked that we could walk to the hotel from the cruise ship. I didn’t like the mildew in the shower and the carpet.

The hotel was very clean and breakfast was good! Walkable to town for shopping and cafes. I would stay there again :)

Very convenient location into town with huge payable parking next to it. Very busy at breakfast.

Nicely located hotel in Ålesund. Everything is in walkable distance. Good in-house facilities.

The family room with bunk beds is _very_ small.

Convenient location, very modern facility and rooms, nice eclectic bar downstairs too which was adjacent to restaurant.

The hotel location was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. There were issues with the fire alarm on our last night there and we were awakened by more than 20 minutes of sirens and announcements after midnight which was not pleasant.

Poor customer service! Was told I can have free early check in at 12noon whatever room they have available and specified I need a room with city view. Went out and came back late 5pm and only 2 options are there. One with ongoing construction and accessiblity room. Chose the latter but change my mind if I can have a room in the new bldg . I waited for more than an hour . Had I not call the reception, I will be waiting forever. Clogged shower drainage, flooding the bathroom floor-ask housekeeping to check to find oit there were tons of hair down there even she was surprised to see it-“looks like a rat” quoting her. Facial tissue empty, do not refill coffee/tea and did not wash the glassses used! Need to re orient staffs and interns-inform guests about housekeeping policy(not everyday) and customer service. I was surprised that when I came back late the room was not made and clean and refreshed. In all my 3 day stay I only hot 1 housekeeping service. (8/10-13) Hotel is nice by the waterfront, breakfast buffet good spread but same everyday. A nice guy on checked out day was nice to offer a free coffee while waiting for my cab at 6am. He was the only nice one there-8/13.

Nice hotel. Beds comfortable. Staff friendly. Convenient location. Has a nice outside patio on the water, bar and restaurant. Also, parking right at hotel - you pay for it, but convenient.

Convenient for a few days. Walk able to everywhere. Good breakfast.

Nice hotel rooms a little small.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, quiet and clean. We had a late night ferry departure and the hotel was gracious enough to allow us to use their lounge area for an extended period. And, their breakfast buffet was great as well.
