Smarthotel Tromso

First of all the hotel staff location etc are absolutely fine however you can’t get over the elephant in the room or more to the point the size of the rooms. The phrase you couldn’t swing a cat in here was made for this hotel the rooms are tiny. There’s no where to put your clothes to we ended up living out of the suitcase and using a floordrobe. You have climb over your partner to get out of bed and there are literally no facilities in the room at all. As I said the hotels fine but be prepared to spend your trip in what seems like a prison cell.

Very small room.

"Double-Room" was extremely small. Even for just 2 people.

Travelocity photos do not adequately demonstrate what a terribly small room the "double room" actually is. It was VERY small and tight. Access to the bed from one side. Very hard to get in and out of the bed on the inside spot.

Stay was fine, but note there is no laundry facilities despite being listed as an amenity on hotels.com

Good location but very small, uncomfortable and basic facilities. The whole hotel could do with an upgrade. Multiple issues in the bathroom and general ventilation too.

Basic but central, i had a single room and it was a little soul detroying but did what was needed!

Overall, it’s been a pleasant experience

This was a one night stay until our other hotel, on the docks, was available the next day. It's a great little hotel for all the basics - the beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, water was hot and everything was clean. The location is really good and just a few minutes walk to the docks (but not the water and mountain view I was looking for). The room is small and for a couple you wouldn't really spend time in it rather than sleeping, because of its size, but there is a communal room downstairs with large TV and tea/coffee is always available there as well.

The hotel has a good location, very near to relevant places if you're going as tourist. The bed is quite small for two people but it's good enough to spend couple of nights there

Room is tiny, not suitable for anything other than a short stay and also has no amenities (kettle etc). Staff are generally unfriendly. Room and hotel was clean

Great value and location

It was fine, the bed was comfortable. The room was tiny and had no circulation however so we had to have the window open to get some sleep which of course then would make the room very cold after a while lol. The staff I'm a bit mixed on. Some of the staff were very friendly, but some of the younger staff were incredibly unprofessional. A couple of the younger ones were loudly on phone calls having inappropriate conversations, again, very loudly lol. The room is smaller than one could imagine until you're in it. Breakfast was pretty good. Overall it was an okay stay, but I would not stay here again if there were other options available.

On arrival at th smarthotel it was easy to check-in and find our room, room was very small, bed right up to the wall at side and end but was comfortable only one pillow each and quilt didn't cover the bed so luckily there was two. Bathroom was adequate Breakfast had a good selection of cooked and cold foods but if you've not booked through hotels own website its not included and costs around £14 per head, on our visit we were on the fourth floor and unfortunately the second day we were there the lift broke and was not fixed two days later when we left which ment we had to drag our bags down 4 flights of stairs Overall though its a nice hotel in a good location a short walk to shops and harbour.

Its a cheap and cheerful hotel which is close to the main attraction/tour pickups in Tromsø. The room was very basic and by no way, a luxury hotel (hotel is not claiming this). You get a bed, small desk and a bathroom. Would reccomend if you are visting for a couple of days and happy to accept a small basic room. Money saved can be spent on the expensive tours! Overall, would stay again!

Near city center. Good rooms, heated.
