Thon Hotel Tromsø

I loved the hotel overall and its location in Tromso. Unfortunately, there was no electrical outlet near the bed for my Cpap machine and I had to run a cord all across the room to use it. A trip hazard and not comfortable.

Location is nice and convinient. Our room was nice and clean. Didn’t have soap in the shower but we found a housekeeping lady who replaced it. Breakfast was quite nice with lots of options! We didn’t get to try the evening meal because we were out. I had to do laundry and it is VERY EXPENSIVE at about $20 a kg!!! This is the only thing I really didn’t like about the hotel. No other options around town so plan accordingly!

This location was very convenient. Everything is walking distance. Plus breakfast was amazing. I truly enjoyed staying here. Staff are very helpful. I am glad I chose this hotel.

Excellent value. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. They even offer a light supper of soup, bread and salad which was lovely. Free coffee in reception. Kettle in room too. Central location.

Beds extremely comfy, very stressful being at breakfast due to the sheer amount of people, no tables and just people waiting or people sharing tables. Definitely not ideal. Overall though the hotel was a convenient location and was close to everything you'd need for a trip to Tromso. Room was a good size, we stayed for a week and were comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and spacious and the heated floor was a wonderful addition. We would come back but not sure we'd do the same time of the year due to the extreme amount of tourists in the area.

Well located and modern hotel with great breakfast buffet and comfortable rooms. Maybe small rooms if staying for more than a long weekend. Would recommend to stay here for sure

Very well located, modern hotel just behind Main Street in Tromso. Rooms small and functional but very nicely appointed. The restaurant offers a light evening buffet which was included in the price (surprise to us which was a bonus !). Front desk staff very polite and helpful.

This hotel is in a very central location and is great for transport, restaurants and shops. The room was very spacious and had a coffee making machine and kettle with tea and coffee supplied. The breakfast was good with lots of variety and included hot and cold options. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We loved this hotel! The room was very nicely appointed and much larger than usual European hotel rooms, perfect for a couple there for multiple days. Cleaning was very prompt and thorough each day, including replacing our slippers when it was noticed one was stretched out! The location cannot be beat, it is quiet and restful at night and in the morning but no more than a 3 minute walk to be in the heart of Tromso downtown.

Free dinner was a winner for me!

My husband ran hotels for years. He recommends. Reception staff are friendly & helpful. Quick & efficient check in. Clean. comfortable mattress & pillows. Quiet. warm. Hair dryer, kettle & supplies with mugs. Great balance of breakfast cuisines for International guests - hot drink dispensers at both ends of the room, fresh bread, fruits and cereals, hot items - lovely breakfast potatoes, various sautéed vegetables, eggs, bacon, baked beans, mini hot dog sausages, cheeses relishes, fish. Vegan oat/soya milk & spread. Vegetarian mini chocolate brownies. Items labelled clearly with allergy information (ie- contains dairy/egg etc). The apple marmalade was delicious. Minor improvements needed: * hooks on back of the bathroom door plus a small shelf away from the sink (to prevent wet items/clothing near sink or on floor). Nowhere to hang anything unless you take a coat hanger in with you. * shower cubicle nice size but to get in/out is struggle for XXL or above to gain access. * No instructions with coffee pod machine in room. Couldn’t fathom how to use it despite filling water tank & dropping pod in slot. * No breakfast instructions in restaurant. Do we need to show staff room number?, is each room allocated a specific table? Waitress service ?. Add a sign !!! - opening time, sit anywhere, help yourself. * shoe ice spikes dangerous on tiled floor. bench needed nearer main door to sit and take off boots

We enjoyed watching the aurora and our stay at Moxy. Will be back for sure.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. The hotel staff are professional and friendly.This hotel is located in the city centre nearby many of the attractions, point of interests and a bus ride from and to the airport. The room we stayed at was quiet and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many options. We Highly recommend this hotel.

Decent enough hotel for a couple of nights. No bathroom amenities, so be sure to pack ur own. Safe didn’t work. Breakfast is mediocre but coffee is good. There is nothing wrong with the hotel, but nothing great either.

Perfect hotel for a city break. Clean, safe, warm, practicable - breakfast was amazing & staff were all friendly. Amazing city - loved it!

The location is very convenient, breakfast is decent, however the rooms weren’t set up well. There was no plug near the bed in any of our party’s rooms. This is a small inconvenience for charging but dangerous for people who need to plug in a sleeping apparatus. There was a long hair in the shower prior to using it. Free dinner vouchers were provided but not used.
