Near the airport

I arrived at around 8pm for a one night stay to catch an early flight out of Tocumen. The line at the reception was so long, five to six families deep. Very slow check in process. They need to have a desk for people with pre-paid reservations.

Our stay in room #103 in which we stayed one night on June 28 was a complete disaster. I’ll list the disappointments in chronological order: 1) Check in process took way too long: there were 2 clerks and we were in a line of 8 different guests waiting to check in at 9:15PM. One clerk spent an inordinate amount of time with one guest (about 15-20 minutes) while the other clerk took about 10 minutes to check in other guests. Once Clerk #1 finished with the long check-in he left while there were 8 parties in line. He returned after 15 minutes and finally started helping others in line. There’s no reason that prepaid bookings require a 30-minute wait in line. 2) In the lobby there were two cold water urns but no cups or glasses. 3) The bathroom: a)There were no wash cloths for the shower but that ultimately didn’t matter because there was no soap! b) I struggled to get shampoo out of the poorly designed dispenser and had to use shampoo to wash my face and body; c) There was no floor mat in the bathroom; d) There were footprints on the bathroom floor which indicated it hadn’t been mopped; 4) The room: a) There was no refrigerator in the room; b) there was no water in the room and there was just a single drinking glass c) WiFi simply would not connect despite following instructions multiple times. d) The carpet is stained. 5) The shuttle dropped everyone off at Terminal 2 but we had a very long walk because our gate was in Terminal 1.

Stayed at Crowne Plaza previously and every time it have been very pleasant. This most recent stay, I must applaud Zuleimy ( not sure I have her name spelt correctly) who was the bar attendant over the 27-28th June weekend, who was so gracious and kind in her service and going the extra mile to inform the guys in my team. Zuleimy, you’re Amazing! Keep doing what you do! Good job management!

Less than 1km from the airport. Friendly staff, nice food, reasonable approachs in all, free shuttle every hour. So comfortable for early travels from Panama City. Many thanks for this opportunity!

Friendly staff, clean property and good food.

My husband had a terrible experience at the Crowne Plaza Panama Airport. First of all, the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel never arrived at the scheduled time. My husband landed at 6 a.m., and they had informed him that the shuttle would be there at 7 a.m., but it never showed up, so he had to take a taxi and pay for it out of his own pocket. I made the reservation online well in advance, and they had confirmed that everything was set and ready for his arrival. When he finally got to the hotel, they told him there was no reservation under his name and that the hotel was fully booked, so they had no room for him. They sent him to have breakfast while they tried to sort things out, and he finally got a room at 9:30 a.m. The problem was that he needed to check out by 3 p.m. since he was just in transit, but when they charged him, they billed him for the full amount. There was no compensation offered, no gesture like a complimentary lunch or anything at all. Overall, my husband had a very bad experience, and we absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel did not have any rooms available at the time of our check in however they were able to transfer us to “Westin” hotel near by and everything went well

Close to the AirPort and convenient if that’s what you want. But very old and the location is not the best

Good for traveling people

Great place to stay close to the Tocumen Airport. It has a great vibe, good food options and a beautiful pool. Reliable airport shuttle makes this a slam dunk. We always stay here whenever coming into or leaving Panama.

The hotel was very beautiful and clean. The food was nice also. This will become my go to hotel whenever I'm visiting Panama again

Airport transportation

For the high cost for this property and well known chain expected more. First, there is no signage to be found at the airport regarding the "free" shuttle service. Nor are any instructions given upon making a reservation. I ended up having to Uber to the hotel and later found a schedule at the front desk with drop off/pick up times taking up to an hour round trip. The property had a musty smell upon entering the lobby, the front desk staff were inattentive and in no hurry to assist with check-in, and the room was gross. The bathroom appeared to not have been properly cleaned as the shower and floor had hair throughout. Had I been staying for more than a long layover I would have looked at moving hotels. On a positive note the breakfast had quite a few options and being able to store my luggage while going into the city was appreciated.
