Very welcoming staff. Did not eat there but menu looked attractive. Room was fine but dismal outlook over giant waste bins which were noisily moved at 7.30 am. Overall pretty good.

Music from the pub next door in the night and emptying the carbages in the mornings made lot of noise. The bathroom was diety (black mold?) and also the carpet. It is pretty expensive place, maybe won’t book again.

The Courtyard by Marriott located on Baxter street is a great property. The location is ideal to walk to great restaurants, attractions and shopping in all directions. The staff are all attentive and professional. My room and bathroom were very clean.
I used the workout room and although it’s not large they have 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical and 1 bike for cardio machines. It’s equipped with plenty of towels and a water fountain. They also have free weights, 1 bench, bands, mats and 1 weight machine. It’s comfortable for 3 considerate people to workout at one time in the room.
The breakfast buffet has many ready made options to satisfy different food needs for people around the world. You can also have a few items specially prepared if you prefer or have dietary restrictions. I would definitely start here again.

Location of hotel is great for exploring Edinburgh but it is a very expensive 3 star hotel. Delivery lorries awaken you at 6am and you can clearly hear people in next room and corridors. No on demand tv and room quite dated but bed was comfortable. Hotel was clean but homeless begging on foot walk outside hotel at night.

Right next to the playhouse and St.James quarter. Hotel was really nice, doors slamming do make the walls shake and sound proofing between rooms not great. Bed is also very bouncy. However, overall we really enjoyed the stay.

We went to Edinburgh Playhouse and shopping and location was perfect. Reana at check in was lovely and super helpful. We had evening meal, Tuesday was great and the food was lovely.
