ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge - Royal Mile

Great location.

Great Location had kind of a hostile backpacking deal, but the rooms were very clean

The room served its purpose as a base and the bed was comfortable. The room itself looked a little tatty, and the air conditioner was very noisy, especially overnight. The staff were very friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay.

As I understand it, IBIS hotels are somewhat budget but convenient and clean. This one was perfect for me, a solo traveler. The room was clean but there were one or two issues that they should have caught (tp roll was kind of gross). It's bare bones, like no tissues, but the towels were nice and large and the bed was comfortable. There was an extra extension cord, tea kettle, and hair dryer. There appeared to be an ironing room down the hall. The restaurant was just ok but convenient after a long day of travel. What is outstanding about this particular property is the front desk staff. They were brilliant with directions, booking an early cab for airport, and restaurant recs. They could not have been warmer or more hospitable. The area is slighly dodgy but not terrible and super convenient to all the sights. There is a below average Sainsbury next store but helpful for some basics. For the price, I felt they delivered.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was great. The rooms were cozy.

Expedia did not allow us to change the booking by one day and we lost the entire booking and had to book the Hoxton instead which was much superior

Very nice central location, handy for walking to the Castle and main attractions.

Great location as it is by the Royal Mile. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were neat, clean, and spacious. Easy to get around and it is close to the train station. Had all the necessities I needed: toiletries, towels, coffee maker etc.

It was in a great location. Beds are a little hard but the room was nice.

The bed wasn't comfortable. Toilets were like a cabin inside the room.

Small could use things like a waste paper basket wash cloths only had two towels. But overall it was clean and fine and I’d stay there again!

Excellent location -- two blocks from the Royal Mile and walking distance to the castle and palace. Reception staff were very friendly and knowlegeable. Room was very clean. Hotel is new and nicely decorated with an upbeat flair. Good value for the money.

We had a great time the staff was very helpful. Especially the staff member name ola at the front desk .She was able to help us with multiple questions even including a very low cost golf facility.
