This hotel is an excellent choice and I've stayed here multiple times. The location is great: an easy walk from the rail station, and close to shops, dining options, bus stops and points of interest. The neighbourhood is surprisingly quiet at night, which means a good sleep. The hotel dining is quite good, with vegetarian options and a varied menu. Perhaps the best element is the staff, who are consistently friendly and accommodating. Despite prevalent corporate policies emphasizing profit over people, resulting in chronic understaffing and overworked employees, the staff of this hotel make the difference. With its charming architecture, clean rooms, helpful staff, and a comfortable feel, I will gladly continue to stay here every time I visit Aberdeen.

We enjoyed our time at the Mercure Aberdeen, the staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable and roomy (with a slope which was quite novel). Unfortunately, there was no fridge and the parking was limited (we squeezed in). Nevertheless, we recommend this hotel.

Checked in by a really friendly gentleman on Sunday evening. Gave us a free upgrade and the room had a stunning view of Union Terrace Gardens. The room itself was very small and some weird things like only one bedside cabinet, and the shower was basic. Definitely trying to save water with the low pressure. Bar is slightly pricey but was fine.
