The Norse.man was located perfectly our needs.
Friendly helpful staff.
We had breakfast buffet each morning, the food was fresh, cooked food was hot.
The only slight downside side was the breakfast had to be carried across the corridor to the bar area as on the 2 mornings we were there, conferences were taking place using the dining room and the corridor was full of people waiting for the conference to start. This could have been handled better but as i stated only a small hiccup.
Evening meal in bar area really nice, food great.

Hotel was very clean, friendly staff, room very comfortable, food excellent, evening meal was fairly priced. Breakfast, I had porridge which was a good bowl full with fresh fruit . We took our cocker spaniel who was made very welcome and helped him settle in quickly. Dog walk straight out of hotel and along the river.

This wasnt a bad hotel overall. It was a bit dated and old fashioned in places but everything was in a good state of repair and functional.
The meals in the restaurant were a good selection and not badly priced and quite tasty. Service was good, everyone very friendly and good to see breakfast included.
Downsides, in my room at least (207) the shower was useless. Hardly any pressure or hot water, but was for the bath. Wifi bit slow too.

The staff were great, food was good with a relaxing feel in the bar area and the location is good. The hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade as it’s showing it’s age but is ok.
I’ve only given an overall of 3 stars because of the thin walls/floors/ceilings, meaning you can hear every word & noise from the rooms that surround you. I’m not a light sleeper but at one point during the night I was woken up and thought someone was actually in our room the noise was so clear & loud.
This is no reflection on the staff as they try to make your stay as good as possible

The worst part of my stay in this hotel was the surly and unfriendly staff. None of them appeared to be enjoying their work or were interested in providing good quality friendly service to the customer. For this reason, I'll definitely not return. One exception was the housekeeper, who tidied my room - friendly and smiling.
