The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.

The location is excellent and it has a good view of the sea. It is just a short walking distance to many restaurants and cafe and of course the railway station of Mallaig. We had a nice stay in this hotel.

Vi boede ovenover køkkenet og kl. 22 kom der utrolig højt musik, så vækkede alle sammen. Rummet og sengen var slet ikke stor nok til at kunne rumme 2 voksne og et barn.

Hade högre förväntningar på detta hotell med anledning av plats och foton.

Great view towards the sea. Comfortable rooms. Shower temperature a bit hard to regulate. Great dinner restaurant ”The terrace”, also facing the sea. Very helpfull staff.

The hotel was clean, nice bar area, easy distance to the ferry and convenient parking. Only downside was loud music from the bar until it closed which was midnight

Convenient for shops, good parking, lovely meal in hotel restaurant, view amazing.

Two couples traveling together from Glasgow with the train. Arriving around 2 pm and enjoyed the village and harbour. We checked in around 15:45 and got rooms on different floors. There were no elevators so the heavy luggage is… well heavy. The bar and staff was very polite. The breakfast although not included in the booked price was very good and also offered a wonderful view, real oceanfront.

Wir haben 1 Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Die Unterkunft war okay, aber für den Preis viel zu klein. Die Lobby ist sehr, das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war okay, für den Preis hätten wir allerdings mehr erwartet. Der Blick vom Frühstücksraum war schön. Bitte beachten, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt.

Comfortable hotel in good condition for age. Superb restaurant and friendly staff.

Frontline staff needs to improve not very friendly, no interaction. Having said that was assisted to carry bag up two flights of stairs. No lift!!

The outdoor terrace is a wonderful place for to enjoy the sunset and there were musicians playing traditional music ~ just lovely. The hotel itself, however, is in desperate need of a deep clean and full renovation. The carpets are filthy, the walls are filthy, and despite the temperatures being well above 20°C the heaters in the hallway were blasting out heat. The hotel was so incredibly stuffy and smells were emanating from its very carpets and walls, it was terrible - one floor stunk strongly of of onions, another floor of a combination of wet dog and dirty laundry. My sinuses were immediately stuffed up because of the dust. The person at the front desk was kind enough to open my room window to air it out. However, in the evening, it seemed like the staff had their friends over visiting and they were running about and socializing with them.

Great location, the Terrace Restaurant was good, and the room was large enough and clean. Cozy place. The hotel does not have a lift ...

Huone oli tilava ja sänky hyvä. Kaikki toimi moitteettomasti ja huone oli siistitty poissa ollessamme. Näköala oli upea suoraan merelle. Kuului vain meren pauhua.

Good location with parking, close to ferry. Older hotel but well maintained.

Spotlessly clean hotel and nice well stocked bar. Room was very hot - we are experiencing a heat wave so perhaps closing blinds prior to guest check in would be helpful esp in second floor. Towel rail on full and radiator in corridor added to the heat. An uncomfortable night

Really homely comfortable hotel. Bedroom had a magnificent view out across to the islands.
