Great food and location

This is the best hotel I have stayed. Excellent value. The staff are ever ready to help and cheerful, always smiling. The room was clean and maintained twice daily. The food in the restaurant was excellent quality and tasty. The breakfast has a lot of choices. Everything was great and I will definitely stay here again if revisiting Cape Town

Exceptional Service at the Taj Cape Town- I recently stayed at the Taj Cape Town and was truly impressed by the outstanding level of service. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne, and our room felt more like a private suite—spacious, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally comfortable. The in-room service was prompt and thoughtful. Whether it was requesting extra tea bags, a tea pot, laundry bags, or any other small needs, the staff handled everything with efficiency and a smile. They even assisted us with arranging laundry services from nearby vendors, which was a great help. The on-site restaurants, bars, and amenities were all top-notch. Every interaction with the hotel team—concierge, housekeeping, restaurant staff—was warm, courteous, and professional. I’ve stayed at many luxury hotels around the world, but the personalized service here truly stood out as one of the best I’ve experienced. While the immediate neighborhood around the hotel did not feel particularly clean or safe, and the presence of many street vendors was a bit unexpected for this part of the city, the hotel itself remained a calm and secure haven. The excellent service more than made up for any concerns about the surrounding area. Highly recommend the Taj Cape Town !

The stay at Taj was just amazing. The staff were so friendly, felt like home. The facilities, services, food, ambience, top notch! Really loved the idols (lord idols) at the entrance as the decor😍 The indoor pool was heated, and fun given the rainy condition during the stay. Location is really good, with pretty streets at a walking distance. Masala tea in the morning was cherry on top. Would definitely come again!

Great place

The spa. Full facial offered, however no steamer or extractions was used, which was quoted in the package.(apparently broken) Should have been notified of this beforehand so another service could be selected

I would have to say that this is one one the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in. Rooms are beautiful. The service was impeccable. Breakfast and dinner was excellent.

Beautiful hotel, with nice rooms and good location in the city centre. We thought the hotel was good value for money. I love the Taj amenities! Had a massage at the spa by Yanga which was divine and I would definitely recommend it. I have been to much better spa’s in terms of atmosphere and service, however cannot fault the massage. Breakfast was wonderful and we had dinner included in our package at the Mint. Having stayed at other Taj resorts, we were disappointed with the service in the restaurants. This included service with the staff and slowness in the kitchen too. During one dinner at Mint, we had to wait close to an hour before our main meal arrived since placing our food order. There is one server Khanyi, I have to call out. She was exceptional and a real standout with service compared to some of the other staff at Mint. We dined at the Bombay Brasserie one evening and we were disappointed with the service again and food was ok. Overall the food and service did not stand up to the expectations that we had.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Amazing experience. The breakfast was complimentary and one of the best I’ve ever had.
