This is a very good hotel! The staff is very friendly, warm and helpful. Upon arriving there, we realized that we had booked the wrong kind of room. It was ondol which is traditional Korean, where you sleep on a mattress on the floor, which was not comfortable for us. When we told them this problem, they immediately showed us another unoccupied room, which we liked. We shifted to that room. It was quite big, comfortable, with a computer too. They made sure that we felt completely at home. It would have been easier to communicate if the staff had a better knowledge of the English language. The breakfast was decent. However they did not have black tea and milk. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Although the hotel is clearly somewhat rundown, it is still a very good option for those visiting Jeonju, especially if the main interest is visiting Hanok Village or the more important historical points in the city. Rooms and hallways are kept very clean. Floors are heated. Each room has a small refrigerator. However, microwave use is only available in the lobby. The lobby decor is a ittle quirky and interesting. Unfortunately, it is also incredibly cold in winter. My room had 2 blown out lightbulbs, making it rather dim but still workable. The hotel sits in a large, busy shopping area. If your room faces the street, I suspect it can be loud if the window is open. It is very close to a post office. Handy if you bought too much stuff and have overweight luggage. Taxis regularly pass close to the hotel. It's possible to walk to Hanok Village, the only extant city gate, the Catholic Cathedral and other historic sites (takes about 15 minutes). Staff are friendly and helpful, but they have little english vocabulary, be prepared to make use of your favorite translating software on your phone.

It was very last minute reservation and not to mentioned try to check in way early but they were able to accommodate my needs and I am so grateful for that. Location is great if you are visiting the city for the first time or just to go shopping and enjoy night life. I am not planning to go back to that city but if I do, I will stay in this hotel.

Room was really damn small. Booked a room for 3 where picture indicated 2 queen size beds upon booking. But after booking, somehow it became 2 single beds. One person even had to sleep on the floor with the matress provided. Toilet also has a terrible stench of sewage and chlorine smell. Overall a really terrible stay because the photos are really deceiving. But the staff were really friendly. No photos taken because its too creepy and eerie to take photos.

The Jeonju Tourist Hotel provides a reasonable standard of accommodation at a very reasonable price. While the rooms is smallish, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities very clean and well maintained in our 2 nights there. The bath towels were of a reasonable size for a Korean hotel. It was a convenient location many local restaurants & shops, about 1.5kms walk from the hanok village and a 7,000KW ($US7.00) taxi trip from the railway station.

We were told that the hotel had no rooms with real beds, so we decided to give the Korean experience a try. Bad idea! There wasn't even a chair in the room. We slept on the hard wood floor with only a minor pad. I think I still have bruises on my hips from two nights in this hotel. Although the lobby looks nice, as soon as you step onto the hotel elevator and open the door on the second floor, it looks like you're in the old Soviet Union. The carpets look like they haven't been changed since the 70s.
