Berns Hotel – Boutique Hotel in the heart of Stockholm

The location of Berns really can't be beaten but combined with friendly staff, an excellent breakfast and a comfortable room - I'd certainly return again!

Loved it. It came highly recommended and I see why.

I liked that the room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast room was exquisite and there were abundant food choices for all tastes. The staff was helpful and courteous. It is modern and the WiFi was strong. Overall it was excellent. Without any doubt, ai would choose to stay there again.

The rooms are a bit too small with an even smaller bathroom. Mini bar ridiculously over priced however great breakfast, lovely staff and brilliant location. Very pricey but understood booked at a peak time.

The kitchen shut at 10pm which meant that I couldn’t order food when I arrived late - not even room service.

We recently stayed at Berns hotel, over Easter weekend as it had been recommendedby Swedish friends. The room was a bit shabby but okay. The room was unbearably warm and even though we tried to regulate the thermostat we had to open the windows each night. This meant the sound of gulls in the night and morning contributed to the lack of sleep- i appreciate they cant do much about the bird noise. My main issue is that at no point during check in were we informed that breakfast time changed on mondays- this was a bank holiday monday. We were expected to know that this information is on the key card holder?!? When I complained about missing breakfast on monday morning I was told there was no manager available but one would be in touch. When I asked the name of the woman on reception she refused to tell me her name. I relayed this to the manager called Astrid, who emailed me that afternoon. I was informed that 'I will take your feedback to heart..I will also speak with the colleague who handled your check out to ensure situations like this do not occur again.' Then as a 'gesture of goodwill' she offered to compensate me and in a subsequent email informed me that she had 'made the compensation' and it would take three business days. Two weeks later, they have neither compensated me as promised or replied to my emails to clarify why they lied and are ignoring me. I would not have expected such an underhand and scheming response.A shoddy performance.

Hotel is lovely, excellent location and staff (particularly on reception) were brilliant. Good breakfasts and food in the restaurant was great. Only real issue was there is a nightclub in the basement, which we were unaware of before booking and it kept us up every night. It could also benefit from having a proper communal lounge area for guests.

Disappointed that a hotel in this category has no iron nor a desk.

We booked this hotel expecting a peaceful stay, but instead, I endured two sleepless nights due to relentless noise from the club directly below the building. On Friday and Saturday nights, the bass from the music vibrated through the floors until well past 4-5 AM, making it impossible to rest. If the hotel is going to host a nightclub, they should at least warn guests in advance ( not a day before check-in ) or soundproof the rooms. This is utterly unacceptable for a place advertising itself as a "comfortable retreat." Save your money and sanity—stay elsewhere if you want quiet!

The staff were great however the rooms were not as quiet as I initially were led to believe. I could hear my neighbors and I could hear the club music at night on the weekends. Additionally, I had to kill a few little bugs. I understand that little bugs get into rooms and it happens but still did enjoy having to do it. The breakfast was very good. Overall, the goods outweighed the cons. The hotel is in a great location so it’s really easy to walk places.

Great staff assisted with luggage storage after we arrived on the overnight train from Copenhagen.

Berns history and its contemporary vibe is reason enough to stay here. Staff is super friendly and professional. Great location as well.

This is my third time staying at Berns, and usually recommend my American family to stay there when they visit. This time I had a bad experience, which could have been easily fixed with better service. There was a mini bottle of wine and a mini bag of chips on the table as we entered the room. We thought it was a welcome gift. We were charged 450 SEK for it upon check-out. We asked if there was anything that could be done, since it was a misunderstanding, but were refused. It felt like it was purposely put there without a price tag to get guests to make that mistake (also, 400 SEK for half a bottle of wine is quite aggressive pricing). I found the receptionist cold and unfriendly, and it really put a damper on my experience at Berns.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast and great location

Great location in a historical hotel, service was great, dinning was excellent, the only down side was the room was a little small with no storage area.

Perfect choice for family!

The small single rooms are a great deal in Stockholm.
