Anchor Beach Inn

We liked that it's right across the street from the beach and within walking distance of many restaurants.

We visited our brother at pelican bay state prison, and this hotel was a 15min drive there. It’s a nice place with the beach right there at walking distance.

This motel is located near the ocean and the harbor. It is conveniently located right on Hwy 99 just outside Crescent City, CA. The check in process used a kiosk in the lobby with a live person on a screen. The kiosk did the financial transaction and gave you the key. The breakfast was grab and go with packaged foods and apples. Not great. My car window was broken in the parking lot over night and no one from the motel would even come out and look at it. Disappointing!

This property is very nice, clean etc. It has a computer for checking in and out. I hated this. They have staff sitting there gossiping with the maids rather than helping guests. Asking questions seems to be a burden for them. The property is nice, they could use a maid service that minds their own business and worries about their job, instead of the front desk. I didn't book again the last two times I passed through as I prefer a more personable hotel. They are also dredging the marina so the beach was gross. The beach was filled with dog poop etc. from the locals. They didn't seem to have and issue with watching their dogs poop and not cleaning it up.

This hotel was just right. It wasn’t bougie, or plush, but just right. Everything worked! Clean, reasonably priced, felt safe, quiet, and by the beach.

Lots of stray hairs around the room. Comforter was well worn and showing age but had dark hairs on it. Breakfasts was pretty minimal. It was Comfortable and convenient.

First time I've encoutered a kiosk for checking in istead of a desk clerk. When I had trouble on the keypad a very friendly 'live' staff member came out and assisted.

Overall a nice place to stay with your pet. The only complaint I have would be the towels and wash cloths, they were thin and small and they didn’t give you enough of them.

No hot water in Room 107 for the morning shower was an unpleasant discovery. The shower head itself also has a sideways leak and drenched the bathroom floor. There is no human being at the front desk- all communications are through a kiosk near the front desk. When I alerted the "operator" of the shower issue and asked for a discount there was none offered. not happy with my choice to stay at Anchor Beach Inn

The check in process was unnecessarily long drawn and annoyingly slow. Even though I had paid in full for a pet friendly room while booking, I was charged additional pet fee at the check in and the virtual agent on ring camera was extremely rude and blaming me for not reading fine print. Lack of real person’s presence at the front desk was a pain. And after them charging me additional pet fee they demanded I take my dog across the main road to a public property for my dog to relieve himself. This is utter non sense!

I really did not enjoy the lack of person at front desk and having to check in via Kiosk. That said property was nice and room had a awesome view

Appreciated the upgrade room. Love being able to walk the beach and wharf.

Suppose to be ocean view room. Paid extra for a view. Terrible windows. Dirty and grimy. Room was all the way out by the road. If you tried hard you could see some of the beach. Breakfast there is a joke. You have to use a digital kiosk with an attendant not even on site to book the room. Even though there were only 5 guests and 40 plus rooms they wouldnt let me switch to a room with a better view.

It was nice. Very close to the beach. Can't say much about the breakfast not so good. But our rooms was clean.
