This place is perfectly fine as an option for those stays where you just need a bed to crash in. If youre looking for a place to chill for an extended period and enjoy the pool with your kids, I wouldnt recommend. The room itself was clean and perfectly fine. Staff were nice at check in and said hello whenever we walked by. The stairs on the way in have clearly shifted over the years, earning the name "death stairs" by the time we checked out. The breakfast was reasonable--- not sure what weekend breakfast is like, but our weekday included a waffle station, various breads for toasting, cereals, yogurt, some sad looking bananas, and the usual coffee/juice machines. Lots of carbs and sugar and no protein. The basement where the pool is has an awful smell. The smell is somewhat better directly in the poop room but the pool area is dated and either actually very dirty or at a point where its so aged it will never look clean again. There was grit and sand on the bottom as though its falling apart. We stayed 20min in the pool before the chemical smell was unbearable (and we all felt the need to shower immediately). The smell is something like pinesol, mould and smoke/pot all at once. Not the usual chlorine smell. Overall, I would have been fine with this place if we skipped the pool. I almost forfeit my prepaid room to go somewhere else after just walking to the pool. That smell was just truly awful. I feel bad for anyone with a first floor room.

Check-in online was quick and easy and made check-in on arrival super quick. Every staff member we encountered said "hi", every one, every time. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was a little noise from the hallway now and again, but not bad. The place is old. I can remember staying here many years ago when it had a different name. There are some funky odors in the hallways. I don't know what the deal is with confusion over the pool. It is on the road side of the hotel. It is on the first floor (1 floor lower than the lobby) and in the middle of the hall. Parking was a little cramped for a full sized truck, but several of us made it work. All in all a decent place to stay. If the hallway smell had been in the room, it would have been a no go for me, but it made for a fine overnight. Especially with the proximity to Spirit Mountain. Our room was much cleaner than the last Villa we stayed at!

The room was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, I slept great! The only thing was the entrance steps were not very level, I do not know if the frost has moved them but that was the only thing that I noticed. Everything else was great!

We were playing cards in the lobby and were told we could not be there past 10pm. We were being respectful and not loud. This was unacceptable and we will not be bringing our team back

The common areas look very run down. The room was surprisingly okay looking with some flaws, weird bumps under the carpet, the door had to pulled open and shut and odd configuration. The bed was the worst! So uncomfortable, lumpy and high. The breakfast was standard fare and the staff kept it full, clean and pleasant. I stayed 2 nights for a local event and left early so I could get home and get some sleep. I guess this is what you get in the U.S. for $125 a night.

The front desk staff were really really friendly and willing to help with any needs I had. Breakfast was ok; but nothing to rave about. Disappointed that all the bananas had brown spots; still edible but not satisfying. The pool was too cold; my kids didnt want to go in it and having a pool for my kids was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel; it would be the main reason I wouldnt go there again unless I called and was told the pool was heated now. It was an average affordable hotel, decent cleaniliness and really nice staff but don't expect fancy as it's outdated.

We really needed the room just to sleep since we arrived at 11:30pm the night before our son’s ski race the next morning at Spirit Mountain. Since it only had two queen beds, we decided to pay for a rollaway bed so we could all get a good night’s rest. To our surprise, when we checked in, I asked the front desk guy, not very courteous btw, to make sure we were getting the rollaway bed which he replied, yes, we have your inflatable bed! My husband and I looked at each other and thought he was kidding. Well no, he was not kidding and as we were going up to our room, carrying our stuff he asked if we still wanted the inflatable bed and he handed us a bag to carry up to our room! We decided not to use it, there wasn’t really any room to fit it anyways other than by the front door and between the bathroom and the sink! I was extremely upset for being misleading plus the extra charge! They need to specify is NOT a rollaway but an inflatable bed!
