Baymont Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Near Downtown

It was very quiet and comfortable

The room literally had a dirty dab pen tip inside of it still, and the shower was disgusting. We ended up leaving after we noticed cause it was gross, and the area was NOTHING like the pictures and felt insanely unsafe.

Room was clean beds and bedding were good. It’s older so definitely needs fixing and updating. Says no smoking in rooms or hotel but that’s all you can smell through out. Was not happy about that cause I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke. Over all it was a place to stay for the night wouldn’t return.

I would avoid this place like the plague!! Absolutely HORRIBLE misrepresentation of the property itself and pics of what the DUMP rooms actually look like is NOT what you get!! I had a hard time figuring out if I was at the right property (which the person working the desk said happens ALL THE TIME), the shower area had hair and dirt all over and was so disgusting I wouldn't put an animal in it , and the big thing they don't tell you is there are 2 hotels in 1 meaning you have what they call "high end" if youre staying through Baymont and also have Days End in the same place where they book a bunch of junkies and criminals on a super cheap weekly rate. The best part is after you check in they send a text asking how they can make your stay better and when you text them back they never respond. If you plan on staying alive and getting any sleep i would stay as far away from this sh$$hole as you can!! I had reserved and paid for 2 nights but valued my safety more and therefore chose to find another hotel.. and its not like I could talk to anyone about my concerns cuz they did a shift change after i checked in and the next person working didn't speak English (or faked he didn't), but he sure had no problem sitting with the "weekly rate hood guests" at the lobby tables and chairs. Maybe if you're a man that carries and you're confident sleeping with 1 eye open you would be comfortable staying here, but anyone else I'd suggest you run away... FAST before they jack your car.

Shower didnt work heat didnt work stated there was a pool but it was outta order

Front desk staff was very rude. I booked my stay 2 months ago when buying event tickets (same night). I called at the time of my booking to inquire about pool. When we arrived (with children who were excited about swimming) I asked about pool location. Staff was rude and pool was down. Kids were upset. I explained that I had called and asked - again he was rude - asked if I had called corporate who knows nothing about their location or if I had called them. I called them. He asked if it was in the last week - I said no - I called at the time of booking. He said - well there it is - pool has only been closed a week. then he said - If you don't like it, go stay somewhere else. Obviously, we stayed anyway. Room wasn't the cleanest. Hallway smelled like someone was smoking pot in a room. We were only there for one night for a popular event - other hotels I had inquired were full. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.

The room we was in had ROACHES and a REAL BAD SMELL coming thru the vents...it gave us a REAL BAD HEADACHE... people in room next to us was doing METH..I BELIEVE..even the manager smelled it and got a headache

This was the worst stay ever my daughter came to visit and they said visitors couldn’t come after 1030pm it was shortly before 8 pm when she went to smoke and see if her ride was there to get her the worker kept asking her what room was she in she kept telling him she was visiting at 819 pm they came knocking on our door my daughter had left they made us go in the hallway while they searched our room for other people which there were none and we checked out the next morning with no refund smh NEVER GO TO THIS WEIRD PLACE

I would not stay here again. The staff is incredibly rude, I didn’t ask for any special requests just simply checking into my room, lol. Once we got to our room the shower was leaking onto the floor and a tile was busted in a few spots. The hotel smells like cigarettes at all times. Didn’t even consider the pool or hot tub after we saw our room. The surrounding area is “sketchy” as well. Spend the extra couple bucks and book something more downtown.

Stains everywhere including the lampshade. Not sure how a lamp even gets stained. The tub was broken and had old bottles of conditioner and shampoo in it. The TV was not viewable from the bed or the couch. The inside of the hotel smelled like weed. Woke up to a couple yelling at each other in the hall. I know this isn’t the hotel’s fault but no effort was made to get them to be quiet. They yelled for about 45 minutes. I have stayed in lots of hotels, by far the worst I have ever stayed in.

Shower had black moldy grout, neighbor was yelling and swearing loudly, breakfast left room for desire, “residents” taking excessive amount of food back to their rooms ( multiple plates, 3/4 gallon of milk, etc)

Luke warm to cool water for a shower at best, bugs in bathroom, cockroachs by vending machine outside our room. Only thing decent was comfort of the bed. Also they charged me a $50 deposit, something that was made no mention of when booking.y suggestion, stay at the Best Western behind it. This is an old Days Inn that Baymont threw their name on, building is old, pool was a joke and the hot tube looked like something out of a horror movie. Very disappointing.

With no ice service was terrible very icy, no salt out and then I wanted to book my room because all the other rooms were booked. She told me it will be even more so I had to find another Motel.

It smelled like dogs I didn't even save 2 minutes before I left and asked for my refund. How do I get my refund?
