When I first got there, the toilet wouldn’t flush the pool was closed, which is understandable really wasn’t an arcade One of the service people at the counter ignored me because there was no phone in the room so if anything happened, good thing nothing happen and One of the cleaning people walked in the bathroom on my Niece after I told her somebody was in there.

Poor place to stay. It was an old Howard Johnson's, then a Days Inn and now Indian family owned with Baymont bathroom mirror, counter and curved shower curtain. The pool & hot tub was shutdown by inspector due to cleanliness/chemical balance issue. Not properly maintained. Room had an inoperable HVAC unit. Maintenance technician is the youngest family member; no training at all and not fixed. Mattress very stained underneath the sheets. The building and balconies are run down, damaged porcelin in the bathtub and poor paint jobs. On a positive note, sheets were clean and pillows comfortable.

The bathtub was horrible. Old and broken with no hot water and the shower curtain went halfway so soaked the floor. This causes water to seep through the floor board seals and smelled like mildew! The bed was confortable but holes and stains on the comforter. The bed was really high off the ground and could not see the tv all the way if laying in the bed. No ice machine on our floor so had to go to another. Pool closed and waa told its always closed. The game room is discusting. Pool table looks like its never been cleaned and games had broken buttons. Breakfast was cereal and bagels even though there were signs for the hot food. Check in and check out was easy. The room was very quiet and we were not distriburbed which was a plus. No bed bugs or major cleanliness issues.

This hotel is two hotels joined into one: days inn and Baymont. Besides to two large billboard signs out front, the building itself is not marked, which is extremely confusing. I went to the wrong hotel and walked in only to ask where the Baymont was. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice. The man working was odd. The pool is on the fifth floor in what looks like to be an old party room. You need a separate key to get in: not your room key. The walls are clearly covered in mold, you can smell it when you enter. It’s painted over. The bathroom there was extremely disgusting. I didn’t even close the stall door. The room itself was okay, though it also smelled a bit musty. It’s an older hotel and you can clearly see the layers of paint on the walls. The shower lacked good water pressure. Due to the limited availability for hotels, we made the best of it. It’s hard to beat $70 a night. This hotel has been put on our list of places NOT to stay.

Never staying there again. The place is not clean. Walls had dirty marks on them. Curtains had mold or dirt on them. Tile in bathroom had mold, they were cracked, dirty, we wouldn’t even take a bath there. Two women staying there and they only gave you 2 towels. If we would have showered, we require a towel for the body and one for the hair. That means we need 4 towels not 2. Don’t be stingy. We had a 2 queen bed. The pillows were so thin, you had to put all three pillows that they gave you for one bed together to make one small pillow that still sucked. The bed was hard as a rock and they only gave you one blanket. This was the worst room I have ever been in. I called on Saturday to make sure it had a working pool so we could go swimming, when we got there we were told the pool was out of order I was so mad. If we would have had time we would’ve gone somewhere else. The parking lot has broken glass and used condoms laying around. It was hard to find the place because the hotel name isn’t even right name. It doesn’t say Baymount

I checked into our room and it smelled badly but my child went to take a bath and no water!! I switched rooms and tried to be reasonable, the second room stunk, had mold and hair in the tub drain! So 3/3 I tried one last time and got switched a third time it smelled horrible, it wasn’t cleaned properly and whoever was above or down the halls it sounded like WW3 so loud my kids couldn’t sleep, so I left and checked out and couldn’t get a refund because I booked online!

I had expected a better experience with the hotel being a Baymont. Check in was easy online but, then once getting a room key, I was charged an additional $50 for a deposit. The room was average. The carpet next to the bed was badly stained and warn. I'm not sure why but, the smoke detector was missing and what appeared to be laundry dryer sheets where shoved in the hole where the smoke detector once was. The TV remote didn't work. The bathroom was ok with exception of the tub would not drain. It appeared that the water in the tub after a shower was slowly leaking under the laminate flooring and seeping up when stepping on the floor. The pool and hot tub where not in service. And finally the breakfast options were limited to 3 types of cereal or a bagel. That was all that was available. The staff was friendly. Oh! And the parking lot was full of glass. Likely from car break-ins.

Our room had no lock on the sliding glass door which left holes in the door where cigarette and weed smoke came through along with cold air. Amongst other things, this was the worst part.

I cannot say it enough. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I continue to tell anyone who will listen. I booked my stay through expedia. The outside was sketch but since i already paid i figured i needed to go in and give it a try. I was worried for my rental car getting broken into since there was shattered glass all over the parking lot. There was also trash and beer cans thrown on the ground outside. I hoped inside would be better. It was not. The hallway was dark. The entire place seemed unsafe. Once I was inside the room I did not want to come out but i also did not want to put my stuff anywhere or sit down. I would not sit on the furniture. I do not know what made them think this room was ok to give to a guest or even remotely clean at all. I found a smashed bed bug. There were stains on everything and stuff splattered on the chair and wall... absolutely disgusting. The door was broken and the alarm appeared to be ripped out. I was freaking out! I contacted expedia and asked them what to. I just could not do it. The hotel desk people told me they were going to charge me for that day even though I was not staying but they were going to refund me for the rest of the week. Expedia tried contacting them for the refund to which they would not even respond to them and never issued the refund. This is absolutely disgusting and an unsafe place. Expedia has also been ZERO help with getting a refund through them either.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Grand Rapids Near Downtown, located at 255 28th St SW, Grand Rapids, Michigan. My confirmation number for this reservation is 88394EE026661. Upon arrival, I was disheartened to find that the condition of the property was far below the standards advertised online. Specifically: Sofa Bed Condition: The sofa bed in our room was dirty and lacked necessary bedding, making it unusable. Insufficient Linens: For a party of five guests, the room was equipped with only two towels and no washcloths, leading to significant inconvenience. Bathroom Cleanliness: The bathroom was extremely dirty, raising concerns about the overall hygiene and maintenance of the facility. These issues not only caused discomfort but also made our stay highly unpleasant. I chose this property based on the positive portrayal online, but the reality did not align with those representations. I kindly request a thorough review of these concerns and appropriate measures to address them. Additionally, I believe a refund or compensation is warranted due to the substandard conditions experienced. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this matter.

Upon arriving there is broken glass all over the parking lot. In clear signage. It was 3 pm check in time and no one was at the desk. Assign Read have a seat in the lobby and will be back shortly. Bathrooms are locked. We waited 30 minutes before someone actually came never apologized for the wait even filled out the early check in and told them what time we’d be arriving. Even completing early check-in you have to redo the process standing at the desk. The halls and elevators smell like marijuana and cigarette smoke. When telling the front desk about someone smoking marijuana in a room on our hall there was no urgency to address it. Seems that long term stay is priority. The entire hotel needs upgrading or simple repairs. The breakfast, if it can even be called that is awful the food is old and dried out, limited options and quantities. There is no extended time for breakfast on the weekends. The pool area is atrocious old in a very odd room that smells terrible. The pool is murky and taken over by rude kids unattended by adults. You have to have a special key card for the pool and exercise room. They do not offer it to you at the desk even though they should when you check in and it expires long before your stay is up and they don’t tell you that either. There is a a sign on pool room door you have to get towels from desk and the desk said towels were in pool areas and they were not. It was like pulling teeth to get towels. People loitering after dark.

Booked here for a short stay at the beginning of my daughters treatment for brain cancer. Parking lot had broken glass and trash everywhere. Checked in and went to find our room, very rundown appearance, hallways had garbage sitting in them. Surfaces in the room were filthy, the room smelled of old wet laundry and the bathroom was dirty. The bottom of the tub had cracks and large black spots in it while the walls of the shower were caked with dirt. Went to the top floor to see the pool/arcade area but couldnt stay up there for more than a few minutes. The chlorine smell was so strong it burned the nose and throat. Ended up going back downstairs and checking out immediately. Booked at another hotel for the stay.
