The staff here IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!! The low review is NOT BECAUSE OF THE STAFF THEY ARE AMAZING! The reason for the low stars is the beds. They are the worst. I’ve slept on a concrete floor that’s more comfortable. It’s so bad that next year we won’t be staying here. And we love this hotel for the breakfast and the staff.

Room was dirty Trash found around bed and behind night stand. Chevk in coukdnt speak English. Plus zero personality. Handicap shower sucked. The shower curtain is to short especially with a transfer bench instead of shiwer chair. I basically had water all over the bathroom floor. I have a prosthetic leg and it made for a dangerous situation. Parking lot is to tight for all of the atvs and trucks/trailers.

First and foremost, THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER!!!! Now the reason the hotel itself NOT THE STAFF get a low rating from me. The beds are the absolute worst. I’d rather sleep on a concrete floor! The rooms smell musty from moisture, because of poor ventilation. The staff is the friendliest there is. We come to this hotel for the last few years but this spring we are unfortunately going to stay in Custer simply because the beds are so uncomfortable. Which is sad because the breakfast and the staff are so amazing. They fix the beds and I’ll gladly return here.

Clean, convenient and great staff.

Upon going to our room, had a small problem with tub, called front desk, came right over and took care of it. We had a small dog, who has not been on a trip like this. He was even good. Walked him in the designated area. He enjoyed it as well. Breakfast was great. Eating places recommended were very good.

This hotel was quiet, had easy parking, good options for breakfast and easy walking distance to a restaurant. Our room was clean and staff were friendly.

ROOM KEY DID NOT ALLOW US INTO THE BUILDING EVEN AFTER 2 TRIPS TO THE FRONT DESK. PROPERTY IN BACK OF BUILDING BY POOL & PET AREA HAD ALL DEAD & DYING PLANS & TREES. LAWN HAD NOT BEEN CUT FOR 2-3 WEEKS

Nice property. A little outdated but breakfast was very good.

Staff was very efficient, informative and friendly. The indoor pool was larger than we thought. Beds were clean and comfortable. Even though there was a fair amount of motorcycle noise elsewhere in town, we didn't seem to hear it

Nice hotel, convenient location to Black Hills activities. Good hotel breakfast.

Rooms and continental breakfast were nice. Pool and hot tub water seemed cloudy and not super clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the department! The pool was a highlight — for all three days we were there, no one else used it, and we loved having it all to ourselves. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and peaceful. Upon check-in, there was a slight smell of food, and it would have been nice to have an outdoor grill. However, the food itself was very tasty. There’s a shop nearby and also an old railway that makes for a nice walk. We rented buggies — a great activity! Not far away, there’s a restaurant with craft beer, and the surrounding nature is simply wonderful. Overall, the stay was excellent for the price! 👍
