Best Western The Plaza Hotel Honolulu Airport

We were hoping for an early check in (and willing to pay the fees), however there was not any available. Our bags were secured at the front desk and we went for a long walk. Our room was spacious, clean but a little outdated. The staff have been great! There is lots of highway noise, not much air travel noise. The pool area is large, water temp a little chilly, but better than no pool. Breakfast is included. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault. Lots to choose from. Airport shuttle is great. Public transit stop in front of hotel. If you are looking for luxury, pay the big bucks and go somewhere else. This suited our needs just fine.

This is an ok place to stay if you have a quick airport turnaround. It's a bit of a bland airport hotel and in my opinion, a little overpriced for what it is, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The airport shuttle is very handy and the breakfast is plentiful.

Friendly check in agent! Provided good information on restaurants and nearby market.

Location and access to number 20 bus meant i used my gew hours between checkout and flight time to visit pearl harbour.

This was agreat choice to stay between flights. It was comfortable and clean with a great breakfast buffet.

Never stay in this hotel

Shuttle was prompt, all was clean, breakfast had choices. Bed was meh but got us through. Perfect for quick airport turnaround stay.

We arrived after the documented check in time of 3pm and were informed our assigned room was not yet ready. We were told that we were going to have an alternate room the same as we booked but it was a handicapped accessible room and the only difference was it was a walk in shower not a tub. We booked a king bed and walked into 2 double beds, old ceramic tile on the floor no carpet as seen in the picture when we booked the room. The air conditioner was barely moving any air and the refrigerator was warm even though it was running. I called the front desk and the person I reached was very helpful and moved us to the king room right next to where we were. I was surprised to still find old ceramic tile on the floor, no carpet, and you could see daylight coming into the room around the door in both rooms. No seals on the doors. I will say that the AC worked and so did the tiny fridge in the new room. Some staff was very friendly. Others left a great deal to be desired. The airport shuttle was not available on our day of departure “due to staffing issues” so the front desk person gave us $25 to have a cab come get us to take us to the airport.

We missed a flight and had to spend the night in Honolulu and that’s why we stayed. We were warned that the neighborhood wasn’t very nice. True but we felt safe. There was an airport van which was fantastic given we’d been traveling for 14 hours. The hotel interior is worn, towels very thin, but the shower clean. My biggest gripe is that after limited fast food dinner options, the so-called breakfast (“breakfast included”) was pathetic. We were told breakfast didn’t start till 7:00 which for an airport hotel is pretty poor. All it seemed was a way to eliminate feeding guests on early flights. The desk employees didn’t bother to tell us there was a bag breakfast available. When we found it on our own, we were given a paper bag with water, a tiny apple, and a granola bar. Overall a below average hotel, including for an airport hotel.

We stayed with best western for the breakfast access and when we came down for breakfast eggs were all out and they were not replenished. Left with sausage and rice. Didn’t bother trying for breakfast the next day
