Best Western Village Inn

I stayed at this property in 2021. Great to be back in my home town of Fresno for a short period. Everyone and everything was perfect! A hearty and healthy breakfast is served in the morning. Many places and things to discover nearby. Wonderful to be near Manchester Center again where I used to shop at and frequent in the 1980's. Blessings to Everyone!

Safe, quiet, convenient

This Best Western was about what I expect from a basic Best Western vs a Best Western Plus. The room was clean, bathroom has some dirty corners and provided just basic shampoo and bar soap, thin towels. The breakfast was fine—had bagels, waffle maker, ok coffee, styrofoam plates and plastic cups. The hotel is in a location which didn’t feel that safe in that they told us they had roaming security all night and had signs in the parking lot warning about theft. A nice, quiet room in an urban area with excellent access to getting around, all at a great price. Hard to beat.

The room smelled horrible to begin with. When we turned on the heater it smelled like mold and we could not get that smell or the general bad smell out of the room. The sheets were very rough and itchy. One of the worse sleeps i have had

Good location, clean and decent room but furnitures are old.

I liked that our room was decently clean except for the light layer of dust over the tub’s rim. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Our requests for an extra blanket, more towel sets and more in room coffee packets were met politely and delivered timely as we opted not to have room service while staying 2 nights. The biscuit gravy and make your own waffles were the favorite items of the complementary hot breakfast. What I did not like was the sketchy area around BWVI at night time. There were homeless people roaming around right in front of the property. Walking back to the hotel from the Denny’s next door, I was approached by a shady, crackhead looking man, riding a bicycle in circles around me and saying something incoherent. That was very disconcerting. I felt like I was in zombie land. I appreciated seeing the security guard patrolling the big parking lots while l was completing my nightly exercise walk. The only aesthetic feature of the hotel property are the strings of lights hung on the wooden beams, over the well lit pool area. I’m glad our view was the pool instead of the dirty and murky canal, Denny’s parking lot, or the smoke shop facility on the other side of the hotel. We booked and paid in advance for a queen room with 2 queen beds but got 2 full size beds instead. Our key cards didn’t work the next day so it was inconvenient to have to get them reactivated. Also, the only one ice machine available is in another building which didn’t work half the time.

Pretty noisy and worn down room. My shower or phone didn’t work but they came and fixed it. The remote to the tv was falling apart. Breakfast was ok.

Entrance to the property was hard to find, even the local taxi driver missed it. I didn't feel comfortable walking around the area The breakfast was excellent!

It good for the prize. Noise from street, nouse from water when turn on. Otherwise, its good!
