Well, that was fun. Where else can you get a room with a view of a store sales floor? In our case, our balcony overlooked the boat area, so we could see fish swimming around. It was cool. More food options would have been nice, but we found a great place for breakfast nearby.

The hotel its self was definitely worth staying HOWEVER the surrounding area was very dirty- trash everywhere. Found our self in Arkansas more than staying in Tennessee

The room is unique and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was all crisp and clean. However, one of the reasons I chose this hotel vs another i was looking at was the large soaking tub thats listed as being in the room.. not only was there not a tub, the shower head was broken and kept falling off the rack the whole shower lol. There was also some mold on the curtain, which i understand happens but should be checked before guest. The tv had issues and froze up and wouldnt turn off or load up, i had to unplug it to get it off. And while it's expecting, it was disappointing that everything was clised when we got in late and didnt open until late the next morning. Overall, would not stay here again for the price paid if given any other option. Theres nicer rooms for less expensive and have everything promised in the listing.
Staff was exceptionally nice, though.

I was incredibly disappointed with my stay at Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis. From the moment we arrived, the service was underwhelming. The wait staff seemed more focused on their phones or chatting with each other than on ensuring guests had everything they needed. There was little effort to provide a welcoming or attentive experience.
Additionally, the cleanliness of our terrace suite did not meet the high standards I would expect—especially given the price we paid. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected far better attention to detail.
In contrast, my stay at the Big Cypress Lodge in Branson, Missouri, was outstanding. The service, staff, cleanliness, and overall experience were exceptional, leaving me thoroughly impressed. Naturally, I expected the same level of excellence in Memphis, but unfortunately, it fell far short.
Given my experience, I will not be returning to the Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis, nor will I recommend it to others. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as this location has significant room for improvement.

My family and I stayed at BIG CYPRESS LODGE on February 22, 2024, expecting a peaceful night. Instead, we endured an appalling experience. At 4:20 a.m., a heavily intoxicated couple in the adjacent room (Room 350) began shouting in the hallway, blasted their TV at unbearable volumes, and later produced unmistakable and inappropriate noises of a sexual nature. These disruptions were intolerable, especially for a family.
Despite multiple calls to the front desk, staff took an unreasonable amount of time to respond. When they finally intervened, the noise stopped, but the trauma of the incident lingered. To make matters worse, I submitted a formal complaint to management over 48 hours ago and have received no acknowledgment or response whatsoever. This utter disregard for guest concerns both during and after our stay speaks volumes about the hotel’s priorities.
A hotel of this reputation should prioritize guest safety, comfort, and accountability. Instead, we were subjected to negligence at every turn. I urge potential guests to reconsider booking here until management demonstrates basic professionalism and responsiveness.

Unique hotel, wouldn’t stay there more than 2 days. They charged me for parking even though I didn’t have a car. Took me 2 hrs on multiple phone calls and never got the reimbursement. Plus they charged my $175 for no apparent reason, they couldn’t justify and it was very difficult to get a straight answer

Room was well appointed and comfortable. Needed a good deep cleaning. It's obvious they only do a cursory cleaning between stays. Ate in the Lookout. Service was slow but that seems to be the norm for this restaurant. If you are a light sleeper, ask to be on the sides, they start setting up for breakfast at 4:30AM if you are near the elevator and are not very quiet or apologetic about it.
