My 13 yo daughter loves hotel sleepovers at BHCC. I’ve hosted 10 of them over the years…and every year my daughter wants to come back to BHCC. Four years ago my daughter decided BHCC was “definitely haunted” (in the best way possible). She loves the long hallways and intriguing layout, and she loves all things haunted! The girls spend half the trip making up spooky stories in the hallways. But don’t let this scare you, its only haunted if you want it to be. I’ve never felt anything but safe at BHCC We love the whole vibe of the place. It is an older hotel, front of house has been beautifully renovated. Rooms are simple but always impeccably clean. The pool and waterslides are always a hit. They spend hours at the pool and never get bored. But my favorite thing is the courtyard. It is absolutely amazing. It is basically a city park in the middle of the hotel. Complete with decks that are as big as stages (many a bday party has been spent watching the kids stage a play). There is a huge bbq area with lots of patio seating. The courtyard is a safe place for the kids to hang out and run around when the sun goes down. BHCC is an older building with a unique charm. They have a great onsite restaurant, bar, casino, live poker on the weekends. I’ve never stayed anywhere with more accommodating staff…seriously everyone is amazing! From check in to check out they are here for you. This hotel is a hidden gem! I’ll be hosting sleepovers at BHCC until my kids outgrow them!

My flight was cancelled so I needed a place to spend the night. I was impressed from the moment I called to request a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The gal (sorry I didn't get her name) who picked me up was very friendly and accommodating. Plus the guy (again no name) at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a last minute place to stay.

Very good value for the rate available. I think we caught the hotel at a low vacancy rate timeframe whereas normally they cater to conventions therefore, our room was very nice and and quite a reasonable rate.

Property had a large and pleasant courtyard. Building design seems oriented towards parking near your room. Rooms have the typical amenities for a convention center: TV, microwave, mini fridge and desk. Getting around the interior is a little tricky because of the design and sameness of the halls. Keep an eye out for signs to get to the front desk and restaurant. Not luxurious but very serviceable with good staff.

I had a disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend. From the start, the staff seemed irritated that I booked through Expedia and were not particularly welcoming or helpful. There was no password on the wifi throughout the hotel, so this seemed rather odd, being there for business. The room itself was also a letdown — the bathroom floor had hair on it, which immediately made it feel unclean. The refrigerator provided was extremely small, and I was surprised to find out that other guests had full-sized refrigerators and freezers in their rooms while I did not. For two nights in a row, I was woken up multiple times by neighbors loudly screaming at each other, which made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The hotel layout was also very confusing. If you accidentally ended up in the courtyard, finding the lobby was nearly impossible. Because of this, I ended up having to drive to the convention center from my room each morning, which was very inconvenient. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. The combination of staff, unsecured wifi, poor cleanliness, lack of consistency in room amenities, disruptive noise, and difficult navigation made my stay frustrating from start to finish.

The staff seemed irritated that we had used a 3rd party ap and mentioned that specifically. We were put in an older room clear in the back end of the hotel. The ceiling was cracked and the entrance was in a back parking lot with only one other vehicle which looked to be abandoned. The walk to the pool was down several hallways, outside, and far for a toddler to walk to. The yellow slide’s water pressure was entirely too strong for young children, with no warning sign stating that. My 3 year old flew out with such force that he power kicked and injured my neck. I had to attempt to catch him, as the water pressure would have pushed him under and away if not. 3 days later I still can’t swallow food and am using a neck pillow for support. He also bruised the top of his foot, on this single slide ride, which swelled so much we had to buy him slippers in place of shoes. Much too dangerous of a slide. I normally don’t complain but I want others to avoid what we ran into. (Literally) I have a video of the accident and each time I am shocked at how fast this slide was.

My only complaint is a big one. You need accessible coffee!!!!! The coffee, creamer & sugar that is available in the room is far less than impressive, and there wasn’t access to any decent coffee in the lobby; unless you’re able to wait for the coffee shop to open (which I wasn’t able to do) and pay extra. It’s for this reason alone that I won’t be booking anymore business travel stays here. It’s too easy to find another hotel, in the same price range, that offers great complimentary coffee 24/7! Everything else was great! Such a bummer.
