Where do I begin?!? Check in was smooth. I had a room reserved from Tuesday-Friday. For some reason the guy at the desk only programmed our key cards for one day so the next day after the 11am checkout it stopped working, so I had to go to the desk and get new keys. Ended up getting 3 new keys during our stay. Once we entered the rooom on the backside of the building with the ocean view, I immediately noticed that there was sand ALL over the floors. As we moved through the room we noticed that there was only 1 small trash can, the smoke detector was hanging off the wall, the tv remote didn’t work properly, the shampoo and body wash in the shower was empty, the soap by the sink was empty, only 3 towel sets with a reservation for 4, the toilet rocked back and forth, the phone was sticky, the plug in by the sink didn’t work, overall it was very disappointing. That was just the room! The people that hang around the place are Sus at the very least. What I witnessed just coming back from the beach was crazy. There was a man pulling a woman’s arm back to his room. She was pulling away from him, but he was twisting it and forcing her. I saw the lady a few times trying to leave the room, but the man kept sprinting back and forth at all hours of the day and night to make sure she didn’t leave. I asked if she was ok, but she was too terrified to answer. He told me to mind my own business. Can’t believe I had to pay to stay there with my fam and feel unsafe the whole time. Refund?

Just what I needed

Worn out blankets and noyse bed frame

Terrible place. Left directly after seeing property and room conditions. They still charged us for one day and blamed Expedia, Expedia rep said it was Casa Del Mar that made the decision. So liars as well. Guy changed his story one I said I talked with Expedia. Trashy rooms, noisy, might as well be a half way house. Unsafe environment, terrible customer service, needs to be shut down and torn down. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

For the price, you should expect less than ideal

Horrible experience. Hotel smelled like cigarettes, the bed sheets were dirty and had cigarette burns. We left within 15 mins of being there. Sad because it has quick access to the beach

Loved close to beach, thought tjhe pictures did not depict an accurate picture of the place, it was much more dingy than thought.

The weather was amazing our room was facing right on the beach beautiful friendly fun relaxing more than we could have ever expected for the price very impressed can't wait to go back we will always stay at Casa del Mar from now on anytime we visit.

We booked this based on the view. The view was incredible. Room was average. Bathroom was satisfactory. Bed was okay. The area is questionable for this side of town. Felt a little unsafe.

Awaiting my refund. Room door was open , bathroom used when we went inside and sketchy behavior outside the building . Room Door would close fully and Curtains wouldn’t close all the way, room was on the first floor with people outside the room.

Not worth it

Clientele were rude noisy up all night.

Perfect location but service and rooms are terrible. Nice quiet beach and great view from Bay View second floor. Rooms are terribly dirty and using continued COVID and Water conservation as an excuse not to maintain the rooms. Employees and their children ate all of the complimentary breakfast and pool was under "maintenance". Great potential with caring owners and a little customer service.
