Very micecway to spend some time on the coast

Beds & pillows are terrific! I always sleep so well here! It’s an older motel but much has been done to update & improve it. The owners are actively involved running it & they are like old friends. The indoor pool area is great for a group gathering. Probably one of the biggest assetts. Recent AAA club rating shows the owners continuous upgrades are bearing fruit.

The owners of this place are absolutely AMAZING! My truck broke down and had to fix it in the parking lot, while fixing it they made sure I was okay, fed me and let me borrow a tool to get me back on the road. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely be staying here again. 10/10 would recommend

The king room that was given to us is spacious as compared to the same room category from other hotels. Th room was clean with enough towels. The front dest staff, Angel was very kind and professional during our checking in process. Coast Riders Inn is a decent hotel to stay whenever you visit the San Simeon, Cambria, Morro Bay Area. Will definitely come back to stay there again in the near future

Toom is spacious, super clean.Location is great, easy access to beach, a couple minutes driving to Hearst Castle. Also very convenient to go to places north and south. Overall this is a great Inn to stay.

I believe the advertising used for this motel on Expedia is a bit deceiving. I ended up paying almost $500 for two nights, and at that price point I was expecting something different than what we experienced. I think this is a great motel if you have the expectations of an old, run down motel. The pool area looks very dated and not welcoming, it’s indoors so it reeks of chemical offgassing. I will say the staff is very kind here, really great employees, but for the price point I was disappointed by a few things. When I ran water in the bathroom sink, it would leak out all over the carpet, so it was difficult to wash your hands or brush your teeth cause the dirty sink water would immediately start dripping out all over the carpet and it begs the question how much mold is growing under the carpet and if it’s even safe for us to be in the room. Also, behind the bed there were used zyns scattered everywhere. And there was a high pitched ringing noise in the ceiling, possibly other guests running the hot water, that lasted for about three or four hours, making it difficult to relax or fall asleep. Me and my partner don’t have very high standards we are used to roughing it, but this motel left us feeling dirty and we couldn’t wait to get back to our clean bed. Again, it’s difficult to write this review because the staff is so sweet and kind, they were very welcoming and receptive when we gave them this feedback, but i definitely think I paid way too much for this motel which sucks.

Comfortable, spacious room, beautiful location right off the beach. Close to Hearst Castle, elephant seal viewing, and Cambria shops/dining. Super nice folks who run the place, room and lobby had a lot of thoughtful little touches. Pastries and coffee for breakfast.

The Motel was decorated with a car theme and was so cute. We were greeted with cookies and a toy car for each traveler! Quick, easy check in. The rooms were clean and large. Staff was friendly and accommodating, even filling up our water bottles with ice. In the morning, there was coffee, instant oatmeal, breads and fruits. There was an indoor pool, hot tub and board games with plenty of seating. Very nice place, nice location, restaurants nearby.

This is a comfortable, quiet, hospitable inn and at a good price point. The rooms are current, spacious and well appointed with refrigerator, microwave, desk, coffee, etc. The owners have made a well planned investment with their recent upgrades and renovations. Well Done and recommended highlly.

Perfect for our family stay before visiting Hearst Castle. Thr rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Good hotel. Obviously a bit on the older side but they keep it updated nicely. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean. Plenty of outlets and USB ports for devices. Across the road from beach access.

Great hotel in San Simeon. Nice location for a coastal sty. Easy check in and out. Nicely appointed rooms!
