Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Erie

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was ur typical hotel room. But it was nice and very quiet. Breakfast was good.

Service was great. We asked for a bay view but we were on the 2nd floor so we really had no view of the bay. Just between trees and boats. Breakfast was mediocre but it was continental so it was expected. Pillows could have been better but overall the hotel was good.

Riley at the front desk was awesome. A couple of strange things in the room: lamp was unplugged and had trouble with another lamp. Figured out it was the light switch by the front door. Room was too warm when I arrived.

This was the worst hotel stay I've had in 30 years. The room was dirty, there were no towels in the bathroom and there was a caulk ring on the floor from a toilet replacement, which had hair in it. The TV control didn't work, and the replacement was not any better. The final issue was the pool being shut down for maintenance on a weekend . so no pool use for my Granddaugther.

So disappointed! I have stayed at this Cobblestone in the past because of location, cleanliness of the facility and friendliness of the staff. This visit, the first two factors were the same but the staff was terrible. We arrived early and was told that our room would be ready in 45 minutes so we hung out. After the 45 minutes we were told that they were running behind so we couldn’t check in until 3:00. We came back at 3:00 which was the check-in time. We were told the room wasn’t ready but they would give us a room with two queens instead of the king that I paid for. I told her that I would wait. A little later she told us that she can give us another room with a king so we took it. When we got to the room our keys did not work so we went to the counter and they sent new keys back which did not work either. The desk clerk asked the housekeeping staff for their master fob which opened our door. The lady said she was going to go back to the desk and was going to bring new keys. We blocked our door open and waited. We wanted to take a nap after the long drive but after waiting for the keys for 30-45 minutes, my partner went down to the desk to see several staff members laughing and socializing. When she asked about the key, they said we were not getting one because they don’t know what the problem is. We could stay in the room and have the staff get us in the room or we can get another room. We stayed in room. The next day the desk clerk was equally uncooperative.

Checking in was easy, and the lady that helped us was very friendly. The room was decent for the price. Tub could have been cleaned a little better, but it was easy enough to quickly wipe down. The spa tub was very small. Only enough room for 1 person, and not enough room to lay down. It was also pretty shallow. The family above our room was the biggest problem. We could hear every running step the kid(s) made and every time he or she slammed or dropped something. It stopped around 9-10 pm. I don’t know what time it started, but I couldn’t go back to sleep after I woke up around 6:30 am because of the running back and forth and dropping things. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but the coffee was drinkable. I’m not sure we will stay again.

The shower water pressure and temperature is great. Full breakfast is different every day. The only complaint about this nice place is that the pool is out of order. We booked the place because it has a pool. They should have noted in your website that it's out of order.

We will stay there again. The staff was very competent and helpful. The only minus to our stay was the pool was closed for maintenance. This was disappointing

The employees here are always wonderful. My only complaint this time, which has nothing to do with the employees, is regarding people with children. Apparently, there was some sort of function where there was a cheerleading competition(?) locally. We could hear nothing but kids running and carrying on from 0400 on. We went to leave our room and some genius outside w/a cart with luggage and kids sitting on top of it. Took our luggage to vehicle, had to walk past the same people blocking the entrance/exit. A man with them said to "pay attention" and "stay out of the way" and to "listen to" Miss so and so. Well, she stood there and messed w/her phone the whole time. I turned in our key card, went to walk back out and the same "Miss" so and so was still on her phone, not paying attention to whatever and letting them run wherever they pleased. NOT the Cobblestone's issue or problem. So irritated that out 2x a year get away (Cobblestone is our get away place) was ruined bc of idiots who can't keep their kids in line.

Positives- Excellent shower pressure, parking, and friendly staff. Less than positives-Can hear every sound of adjacent rooms and floors. Pillows & bedding are very old. The material so thin in spots it could rip at any time and is scratchy. Toilet would run for 30-45 minutes after a flush. No maintenance Staff available until 2 days after checkout so I was the toilet fixer. Don’t waste your time on the breakfast. Very limited and awful taste to eggs and hash.
