Comfort Inn & Suites Glenwood Springs On The River

We chose the business king room since it has a sofa. Unfortunately the sofa was so firm it was difficult to get comfortable. The room was clean. Was nice to have a little balcony even tho we didn’t use it. People above us sounded like they were moving things around, knocking things over, etc. when I commented to the front desk person this morning, she just stared at me. Never said a word. Not very customer service oriented. I would give their “hot” breakfast a D. There wasn’t even any jelly for toast. Very little selection.

Both rooms were in were in fairly rough condition and weren't very clean either. Issues with TV not working and other. They had to transfer us into another room as the first room had a clogged toilet from previous guest. Overall very unhappy with cost and stay. Thanks

The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really nice! I will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast actually had gluten waffle mix which was a little surprising but very nice. We had the two room suite the only problem was a lack of any kitchen table to use for games and dining. Otherwise the room was quite nice.

We arrived later than expected for check-in but would still expect some parking available and there was not. There of course is the underground parking that appears to double as storage for maybe some remodeling or such they have going on. The first person I spoke to and who checked us in was very nice but as I stepped back and waited for my husband there was another guy behind the desk yelling “Do you need to check in” at me. I didn’t think he was talking to me as I was checking in next to him so you would think he’d be aware of his surroundings but he didn’t stop yelling until I responded. That just seemed unnecessary and unprofessional. As I had time to wait in the lobby I was looking around and noticed how dirty it was. The parking situation, check in interaction and lack of cleanliness of the lobby just set the mood for the rest of our stay. We finally make it to our room and it smells awful, like cleaning only consisted of changing the sheets. I felt cleaner getting right out of the hot springs than showering in that shower. The bed and pillows were not the best either. Next morning rolls around, we had no big plans so we got out of our room at about 9:30. When we asked for the room to be cleaned they said we would of had to ask before 9 am. Maybe that’s common knowledge or written somewhere but why isn’t it stated at check in for guest who are staying more than a night? The tv also didn’t work so that was a bummer. Overall not what we expected for the rating we saw.

The girl that checked me in was absolutely wonderful, very friendly. However, the evening front desk rep was rude and abrupt when I asked for plastic or regular silverware to eat my left over dinner with; he wouldn’t even look at me and it took him nearly five minutes to show up to the desk. The room was clean but the somehow the mattress was hard and lumpy at the same time. Not really worth the money I paid but thankfully it was a single night stay.

Pretty bad! Our first room had not been cleaned. Garbage on the floor and beds remade without washing the bedding. The employee at the desk was really good about it and gave us another room. This one was clean, or so we thought until we opened the closet to find feathers and bird poop on the floor. We just closed the closet and dealt with it as we didn’t want to move again. We put our swimsuits on and headed to find the pool, which we found out was in the neighboring hotel, and that it closed super early (8pm). So we had sad kids we’d told for the past week would be able to go swimming the night we stayed at the hotel.

Very clean, comfortable beds, amazing scenery off the balcony, conveniently located. Highly recommended.
