Comfort Inn Garden City

This is not your typical Comfort Inn. While the staff was friendly, the hotel is a mess. The beds are awful. The exhaust fans are loud and dirty. The hallways are gross. It needs a major upgrade. More along the lines of a Motel 6 than a Comfort Inn. We were very disappointed.

Dirty from outside, repairing walls inside. Early in the Morning wasn't anybody at lobby front desk for at list 40 minutes. but room was clean.

easy to get to and out of, great location I understand that it was on need of a inside face lift it would of been nice to been aware that was going on .. and I made sure that it had a pool that was important to me, and it was not in service that was despointing to me

Exhaust fan in the bathroom was coated with dirt. Shower handle was loose.. Droopy shower curtain. Location a little bit tricky to enter.

Plumbing issues, door wouldn't shut and lock, A/C didn't work, stains all over the bathroom walls, place looked very old and worn.

You need to get the card reader on the back door working or replaced!!!!!

The staff was very helpful. The rooms need up dating.

I should’ve read the reviews. Pool was out but allegedly would be open Monday. Front desk lady was horrible. Nothing worse than driving for hours on end only to arrive and be treated as an inconvenience. I suppose when you’re too busy with your kids behind the counter being loud and taking your attention, I guess I can see how I am inconvenience. You know, we only payed to be here. No big deal. Free day care is important. As a working father of two, I understand. Fortunately, your staff was redeemed by the morning guy when we checked out. Other than having to wake him up from his “nap” ( his words not mine), he was very polite, apologized and had excellent manners. The hotel condition was ok. Needs some work but they are remodeling the third floor so, hopefully that trickles down to floor one where we stayed. It looked in need of some love but was clean. I’d probably try a different hotel next time in town.

Property under renovation. Reservation made FIR pool & hot tub AND BOTH WERE GREEN. Front desk female not friendly and nothing said about condition of pool & hot tub. Nothing mentioned about plastic hung from ceiling on 3rd floor as we exited elevator. No carpet- bare cement. Room was fine - but front desk female should have explained 3rd floor a mess AND pool & hot tub not working. Website should have stated ‘under construction’. Definitely feel should have received a discount for all of these ‘unacceptable’ problems.

There was not enough parking so we literally had to park next door at a Staples Office Supply store. I don’t mind walking it for older people this was quite a distance. Also room was dirty and falling apart.

Several stains in hallway carpet -- unknown type - maybe dog/animal/???. Staff didn't seemed to willing to help with anything -- asked questions -- whatever. Property was re-doing breakfast area so they seem to be deciding day to day whether to open it up. Closed when I was there. Couldn't even get a cup of coffee in lobby. Pass them by.

The hotel was super nice, very warm pool and due to unforseen circumstances with another hotel they were super accommodating and even let us check in early

My only complaint is that my wife got a spider bite and is dealing with that right now at minor emergency.

Our room had sopping wet carpet and very dirty.

The shower was falling apart, and there was a strong odor in the hallway by the stairs. Bed and rest of the room was fine.

When I entered my room someone was already in there

There were cockroaches the size of my thumb. The pool has rusty bolts sticking out that I watched 2 kids almost get severely hurt on. Beer cans and bottles all over parking lot. The tub looks like it was painted and it's peeling everywhere the pillows were the size of a folded towel. The sink faucet leaks when the water is turned on

Property needs a lot of repair. There were multiple holes in the shower where it looked like they had relocated plumbing. The fan in the bathroom was so loud you could not use the light during the night. The TV was, at most, a 36”. We gave stayed in Comfort Inns during this trip. This one was sub-par.
