Clean rooms and common area. Tried to use hot tub/pool area and then some sketchy stuff happened with other guests so left. Only bummer was not being able to utilize that as much as I would have.

Clean, spacious corner suite with ample light. Cute patio area by pool. Lovely boardwalk to lake. Walkable restaurants.
Breakfast area was too crowded, space too small. It looks like they have more space to open up.

Where to begin? I had to enter the hotel thru a haze of smoke from numerous smokers at the front door. My room smelled overwhelmingly stale. I couldn't open the windows as they were screwed shut- fire hazard much? I specifically chose this hotel for the pool and adjacent patio, but was unable to enjoy due to the smokers. I thought it was a non smoking property but apparently not. The AC rattled noisily leaving me to choose between at least some ventilation or peaceful quiet. And last but not least, I was charged twice. I am in the process of disputing the charge with my bank as the hotel was wholly unhelpful. I do not recommend.
TL:DR unclean, room smells bad, barely functioning AC, much smoke, much noise, and double charged

Our stay was very pleasant. Easy check-in & out, very nice breakfast with good variety and clean, and our room was very clean & comfy. We were there for 3 nights for a UW graduation, and we’ve stayed here at least 2 other times.

Request for grab bar was not honored. Hotel did move us to a handicapped accessible room for second night however there was only 1 bed and so we moved back to a regular 2 bed toom

The booking and check-in process were incredibly easy. The room was spacious (suite), clean, and well laid out. The bed was a bit too stiff and pillows too soft/flat for my liking but these will always be subjective opinions. Hard to have a one size fits all in these areas. The breakfast was included and had standard offerings, some of which were great for a grab-and-go situation like bagels, yogurt, and fruit. What was also nice was the offerings around the area from chain restaurants to local eateries and coffee shops. The hotel was also very easy to get to, which can be good and bad. It’s right off the highway (good) so I was able to easily hear the traffic (not so good). The check-out process was as easy as check-in.
Overall, worth recommending for short swings through the Monona or Madison area.
