Courtyard Fort Walton Beach-West Destin

The property itself amazing. Great location, several great seafood restaurants around it. The room was spotless and very great condition about no complaints. However the check in was not pleasant, the two kauoexat front were unfriendly and more annoyer doing their job. Not sure what was the problem.

We have been coming to this property for five or more years. We like that it is safe, quiet, and clean. This year, we noticed that there are several areas that have not been maintained quite as well as it should have been. The carpets need cleaned/replaced. The elevators need repaired, and overall, it much noisier in the hallways than in the past. The king, ocean-view is right next to the elevator, which dinged like a phone ring all day and night. This information should be noted when reserving any room through expedia (next to ice machine or next to elevator).The faucet in the shower leaked and was cranked tight to stop leak vs just repairing it. It is the small things such as these that would stop us from using this facility in our travels. If I were YOUR consultant (which I am not) I would point out to the facility manager to be corrected for better client satisfaction.

Hotel was nice and very friendly staff. One of the elevators has been down for months. Don't understand the holdup.

It was very clean, nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

The fart fans in 2 rooms made noise, the toilets cycled because of bad valves. Mattresses were completely worn out and hurt my back, legs, shoulders.

Courtyard is a good hotel. Housekeeping services were hit & miss with half the days skipped during my stay. Overall, a good accommodation.

Dining staff was terrible. Upon arrival, we were given a credit for breakfast for three that we did not ask for, but was offered as a conp due to our room not being a full ocean front view as we paid for. The next morning upon attempting to redeem the comp, the staff at the dining area at first refused to honor the comp and then insisted it was only for two regardless of the fact that the card had a #3 on it. The two women were very dismissive and defensive when all they had to do was contact hotel management. After about 20 minutes of treating us like crap, they finally did just that and told me. When our food was ready, they set it down in front of us. Not one word. We took it to go because that environment was not one we needed to be in if we were going to enjoy our very short vacation. As a single mom who works 50 hours a week and takes only very brief "vacations" a year, I don't want my kids having to deal with people who clearly don't belong in the hospitality business. I worked in the business for several years. You don't treat repeat customers like that. We likely won't be staying at Courtyards anymore after this xp.

Great stay, right by the beach. Hotel has its own plank walkway to the beach.

Ice machine on each floor always out of ice

Great hotel. We stayed here the night before our check in for our vacation hotel because we got into town a day early. Will definitely stay again

I paid 200 a night but that dam ice machines yes all of them was out of ICE! Just not good

Hotel is in great shape. Love the in house Italian restaurant although I wish they still had live music daily or at least on weekends

Lovely place and friendly staff

We arrived early for our check-in time. We went inside to make sure that it was ok for us to park while we waited for our room to be cleaned. Staff was nice and gave us a pass and told us a time on when we could expect to get into our room. We were not allowed to check in until 4 hours after the time we were originally told...while we sat in the parking lot.

Excellent view & easy access to beach.

Overall experience was great. Perfect spot for the beach. Only one elevator was working and it was a busy weekend so that was a bummer.

Great stay, only downside was 1 of the elevators being broken
