Crowne Plaza MILWAUKEE SOUTH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Great room, staff was very friendly, door cards were glitchy but they gave us new ones right away. And we had an issue with a smell in our room and they moved us with no issues.

My room was clean and comfortable. The desk staff helped me set up a shuttle pick up in the morning. The shuttle driver was very pleasant and the rude was comfortable. I would stay here again.

Unresolved Smoke detector issues

The room wasn't ready upon check in but the customer service was great. Incredible service from Chuck and Ed sold us on the stay - the friendliness of the staff is something not easy to find, but was found here.

Misrepresentation of amenities and property

Paid for two included breakfasts they made me aware in line at breakfast with a full plate in my hand I need to pay for the food I already paid for in my 4 adult room 2 breakfasts were included. On top of that the original room had no working ac it was over 80 degrees in the room the lady at the front desk moved our room for us and made it better but the breakfast thing and not being comped for the having to move rooms was good enough reason to never come here again.

I really like this hotel and enjoyed our stay there but unfortunately we had a problem at check-in. I tried checking in almost 3 hours after check-in opened but they was still was not an available room for us. It seemed like the front staff was a little bit overwhelmed that night. We had to sit and wait until a room was available. Thought that the staff could’ve done a better job overall. But the hotel is great. Nice room with comfortable beds. The pool was nice too. And a lot of parking space. Might stay here again, but I hope the service improves.

All of the workers I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Without a car, food options were extremely limited. Shower drain was awful with about 5 inches of water in the tub by the end of shower. There was a major humidity problem. I put clothes in closet and they became damp. I had to wear damp clothes to the airport. Surfaces in room felt damp, too. Worst part was the airport shuttle. When I arrived on 8/9, II signed up for 4 am shuttle departure (I was told by desk person that MKE TSA check doesn't open until 4 am) on 8/11. I went out to the shuttle at 3:45 am and it was full. If I had to wait for it to come back, I would likely miss my 5:15 flight. If the list was full, they should have added another time - I would have gone at 3:30! Thankfully, one group of people said they would wait for the next shuttle because their flight was later, but the hotel staff had no help to offer. I even checked at the desk last night to make sure I was on the list for 4:00 am. At that time, they said there was another party on the list, so I think they had people trying to go who hadn't sighed up ahead of time. Anyhow, just VERY frustrating, so make sure you plan the shuttle a bit earlier than necessary.

The room was great, I was staying overnight to catch the Lake express the next day. Room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was AC was set at 66, so a bit chilly but I fixed that by setting to a higher temp. Staff was helpful.

Ok so when we first pulled in, the place looked sketchy AF - because the parking lot was taped off, and there were few cars scattered about and an abandoned hotel on the other side of the lot. The the hotel across the street had a full lot of cars and seemed like a better place to stay. But, I got over being judgmental and headed inside and what a schoker. The hotel looked very clean, front desk staff was ok. I had my pup with me so that was a plus (pet friendly). Honestly the stay was great we only come to Milwaukee for shows and food, because why else would you go to Milwaukee? There was a baseball tournament or something, so there were mad annoying families with there annoying ass kids running up and down the halls. Outside of that I was impressed at how nice the stay was, because I was judging, hard.

I like it

I asked for a quiet room, and they put me across the staff area where I am trying to sleep but can’t due to vacuuming at 9 PM. The bathroom didn’t have a hairdryer or soap/shampoo and the bed sheets had stains that looked like blood or poop. One of my worst hotel stays in my life.

This property is not managed by IHG. I’m surprised it still has a Crowne Plaza flag! Old, dirty, and amenities are very limited.
