Our stay was good. A little musty smell in the hotel. The outside was littered with cigarettes butts and small trash. Staff was great. Breakfast was lacking much flavor and had a lack of breakfast options. Overall I would say this is a good place to stay but average in general.

Loved the unit we had which was an efficiency. Perfect for everything we needed.

All was well. Price, convenience, near shopping.

Inside of our room smelled old and musty. Was cobwebs, food not sweep up by bed. Husband was looking for place to plug in coffee pot, had plug in behind desk. Pulled it out and there was trash on floor!! Pool area had a weird smell besides the musty smell. Bed was very hard and tinny, every time you moved it had a loud sound!!!

our stay wasn't as enjoyable as anticipated. Certain staff members were unfriendly, the continental breakfast sucked (not a lot of choice or good quality), our room's bathroom fan was loud and even vibrated the floor and you could hear when the neighboring rooms used their bathroom because the fan was that loud. The fellow guests weren't respectful and quiet as in other hotels we have stayed at. Pillows on the bed were extremely lumpy as well.

Nice hotel a bit out of town. Just the place I look for to do business trips -- effective work space for laptop and second monitor.

Had a hard time regulating the heat.

Just wish the windows locked. I was told that they have 50+ cameras and it was safe without locks on windows. I feel that ALL windows in the rooms should be able to lock. Front staff person was rude, saying that she don't need my money. All i asked for was a receipt saying i paid for my dog at $20 per night. She must have been having a bad day...

Thank you for putting our family’s together - we traveled to Alpena for a funeral We had 6 rooms and appreciated the staff putting us all together.

The parking area was easy to access.

The 1st room was horrible—-awful sewer smell! I went back to the front desk and changed rooms. The hotel clerk was a bit rude but did reluctantly change my room. The 2nd room was very good with physical cleanliness and organization but there was a faint sewer odor. I discovered that it was coming from the bathroom drains. When I checked out I told the same clerk about it. She shrugged her shoulders. Never apologized for the inconvenience. I will not stay there again.

The staff was quite friendly. I especially liked the room service staff. They were extremely polite and considerate. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only negative was that food items needed to be asked for at breakfast rather than being regularly restocked.

Need to be able to lock ALL WINDOWS. I felt unsafe because of this. Everything else was amazing

Friendly service. Helpful. The room was a bit small, but comfortable. Good location for shopping and dining. The front location of the room had some occasional traffic noise but was not bad. We had a nice stay.

Hi… it’s 3:30 AM. Despite being exhausted, I’ve yet to sleep. You see, I missed the part in the motel description that claimed that the Flintstones are big fans of these motel beds. I got the “granite” mattress. In town for one night for a friend’s funeral and then facing a long day of driving. I need sleep! I have never been more uncomfortable or less able to sleep in a space whose very business is to provide a place for folks to sleep. It actually hurts to lay on this bed. I’ve never done this before, but I went to the front desk to plead my case. I asked for another room. He said he’d have to charge me. I tried to reason with him: it’s already 3:30, I’ll only be using the room for 4 hours. The parking lot was empty - it wasn’t like there was a Flintstones convention in town. They had a room to spare, I won’t even get under the covers they would never know I was there. He stared at me blankly. He wasn’t going to get tricked by pesky logic. I asked if I could sleep on the lobby couch. He wasn’t having it. Long story short, I got a $10 discount to sleep in the room next to my son on a mattress that caused me only 5/10 pain level., I’m so bummed. They had the chance to do something nice for a customer in distress and they failed. We will not be patronizing this establishment again. If you do book here, bring an air mattress/yoga mat/extra blankets to sleep on and save your body. Also - the whole place needs a good, soapy, scrubbing.
